Team description At Datadog, AI agents are becoming first-class consumers of observability, security, and software delivery data — from third-party coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot, to our own Bits SRE, Bits Assistant, and Bits Dev Agent. The Agentic Interfaces team owns the platform that connects these agents to Datadog: the MCP Server, the tools and retrieval surfaces agents call into, and — critically — the evaluation systems that tell us whether an agent's experience on Datadog data is actually getting better over time. This role is about that last piece. We're hiring a Staff Applied Scientist to define what "good" means for an Agentic interface at Datadog and to build the measurement systems that make it true. "Good" isn't one number — it spans answer quality, tool-selection accuracy, retrieval relevance, latency, token cost, and end-to-end agent success on real customer workflows. You'll design the evals, build the datasets, define the metrics, and partner with the AI engineers on the team to land the platform that lets every product group at Datadog ship integrations that are demonstrably better release over release. The space is full of open research questions. How do you evaluate an agent end-to-end when the trajectory is non-deterministic? How do you score tool selection when the tool catalog has hundreds of entries and grows weekly? How do you build a measurement system that catches regressions across first-party and third-party agents at once, without each team writing their own harness? If those are the problems you want to spend your time on, come build this with us. Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply. What You’ll Do: Own the evaluation strategy for Datadog's AI agent integrations. Define the metrics — offline and online, quali

As an Engineering Manager II at Datadog, you will own a significant portion of the Logs business — one of Datadog's largest and most strategic products, with major growth opportunities still ahead. Sitting at the table where strategy is defined, you will drive execution across a ~30-person engineering org at an exciting moment of product evolution where AI is pushing us to rethink how we handle observability data. This is a high-scope role for someone energized by hard problems, eager to grow at the intersection of business and engineering excellence, and driven to build a product that radically transforms how engineering teams around the world operate and resolve incidents. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You’ll Do: Own the success of the Logs business for your scope — co-define the Logs technical roadmap and product vision with Product, Design, and peer leadership. You will blend an understanding of customers, markets, and revenue drivers with deep engineering rigor to deliver our core vision Act as a key collaborator across Datadog, building strong partnerships with platform and infrastructure teams to ensure a highly reliable, scalable and performant product. Invest in the next generation of engineering leaders — growing your managers, expanding their impact, and building a high-performing engineering organization where people continuously develop and thrive. Foster a culture of ambition and resilience — where people lean into hard problems

Senior Product Manager - Search Datadog’s Search team helps users – both human and agents – find answers to their questions. Search is a critical function in Datadog, and touches many product surfaces: the query editors in product homepages and dashboards, search bars for finding relevant assets, the global cmd+k navigation search, and the MCP tools that our Bits AI agent uses to respond to natural language prompts. Search is a full-stack team: owning user-facing search components, backend search ranking systems, and machine learning models to produce recommendations. The Search team is relatively new, and still growing. We have recently built out agentic search tools, and we are looking for a leader to help us expand to ambitious orchestration systems that deliver accurate results, and proactive recommendations across both keyword and semantic search. Beyond this, you’ll have room to influence how Datadog thinks about Search as a strategic surface. What you’ll do: Define and deliver how Datadog's AI agents discover the right context and tools to answer natural-language questions accurately and at scale Stay on top of industry trends in UI and agentic search experiences and capabilities Collaborate with Applied AI teams to integrate ranking, personalization, and recommendation models that scale across both human and agentic users Define and monitor KPIs for search quality, adoption, and downstream impact on user productivity; use them to drive data-informed decision making Engage directly with customers and internal product teams to deeply understand search journeys across query editors, global navigation, and natural-language agent interfaces Who you are: You have experience with search, ranking, or recommendation systems You are familiar with or very interested in MCP servers and differences between human and agentic UX You have a sharp eye for design and strong opinions on the micro-interactions — keyboard navigation, autocomplete behavior, loading
