At Vanta, our mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. We believe that security should be monitored and verified continuously, and we empower companies to practice better security and prove it with ease. Vanta has a kind and talented team, and while some have prior security experience, many have been successful at Vanta without it. Vanta is hiring for a Head of Design (VP) to lead our design organization — setting direction for a ~40-person team, shaping the next generation of AI-native product experiences, and building the quality systems that let great design ship at scale. The Design team at Vanta shapes how security and compliance teams experience Vanta — from a startup founder building their security program for the first time to an enterprise security team managing hundreds of controls. The org spans all areas of Vanta — GRC, Trust, Platform, Self-serve, and AI — and includes product designers, visual designers, design engineering, content designers, and a user researcher, led by experienced design directors. As AI fundamentally changes what products can do and how they get built, this team is at an inflection point: the right leader will define what it means for a design org to be genuinely AI-forward — enabling designers to move faster, ship more, and contribute to product direction and delivery in new ways. This is the right role for a design leader who leads with AI fluency, brings strong taste and craft across interaction design and visual design, and has the operational instincts to build the systems that make quality a consistent property of the whole org. What you’ll do as Head of Design at Vanta: Lead a team of ~40 designers and design directors across GRC, Trust, Platform, Self-serve, and AI — setting org-wide direction and enabling each leader to do their best work Lead the team building the next generation of agentic, AI-native product experiences — defining what great design looks like as Vanta’s products are increasingly shaped by AI E

About the Team The Youth Well-Being product team is part of the Integrity pillar at OpenAI, responsible for ensuring that our state-of-the-art AI technologies are deployed in safe, age-appropriate, and beneficial ways—especially for youth and families. We work across OpenAI’s entire product surface area, from ChatGPT to future-facing tools, to architect safety and trust into the foundation of our systems. Our mission: empower families while meeting the highest standards of regulatory compliance and ethical responsibility. This work is core to OpenAI’s mission to ensure AGI benefits all of humanity. Safety, especially for the most vulnerable users, is more important to us than unfettered growth. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help architect and build the foundational systems that power family- and youth-facing experiences at scale. You’ll help define how teens and guardians engage with OpenAI products—ensuring those experiences are safe, compliant, and empowering. You’ll operate across a broad technical surface: building identity primitives, age assurance pipelines, and guardian tools that support both proactive and reactive interventions. You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, designers, user researchers, and policy experts. This is a high-impact, 0→1 opportunity to set the standard for how families interact with generative AI. In this role, you will: Architect and implement teen and guardian experiences across OpenAI products, including ChatGPT. Build global age assurance systems that are privacy-preserving and tailored to regional compliance needs. Design and evolve our identity infrastructure to support scalable, secure, and resilient user journeys at consumer internet scale. Help define safety and well-being metrics, and continuously improve user trust through technical interventions. You might thrive in this role if you: Have built products or infrastructure for users under 18, or h

About the Team The Agent Safety team works to ensure that increasingly capable AI agents act safely, exercise sound judgment, and remain aligned with user intent. Our mission is to reduce the probability of severe unintended outcomes from increasingly capable AI agents while preserving their ability to act effectively and autonomously. Our work spans three areas: Training: Create training methods, environments and data that teach agents to make better decisions in consequential situations. We turn real-world failures into training signals that prevent similar incidents, and identify precursor behaviors and mitigations to address emerging risks. Measurements: Build evaluations and production metrics that identify emerging risks and measure whether our interventions work. Oversight: Develop oversight and system mitigation mechanisms that reduce harmful actions while preserving useful autonomy (for example future versions of auto-review ). About the Role We’re looking for strong executors with excellent judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and an understanding of frontier model research. You don’t need prior safety or alignment experience, we also welcome people that recently realized that alignment and safety is a critical area to contribute to. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Train and evaluate frontier models to reduce harmful or misaligned agent actions, forming clear hypotheses and executing independently through ambiguity. Mine incidents and build scalable measurement, data-processing, and evaluation systems that turn real failures into repeatable safety signals. Collaborate closely with post-training, capabilities, oversight, and pre-training partners to ship research-backed mitigations into large-scale training and agent systems. You might thrive in this role if you: Have demonstrated strength in research engineering, ML en

About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Lovable , Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We recently raised a $355M Series C at a $4.65B valuation, led by General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. We've crossed $300M+ ARR and grown fivefold since September. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luig i ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience.
