Here at Datadog, we think about offensive security a little bit differently. We embrace automation and AI to run adversary simulations continuously across a massive cloud-native environment, and we expect our offensive engineers to build the tooling that makes that possible. We're looking for a Senior Security Engineer who can execute sophisticated red team operations, write the code that scales them, and take an AI-first approach to offensive security engineering. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do: Plan and execute red team engagements end-to-end, simulating real-world threat actors across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and corporate environments Build and maintain custom offensive tooling, automation frameworks, and engagement infrastructure, treating offensive operations as a software engineering problem Develop custom payloads and evasion capabilities tailored to Datadog's environment and modern defensive controls (EDR, SIEM, network monitoring) Improve the efficiency of offensive operations through thoughtful use of automation and AI, accelerating reconnaissance, vulnerability analysis, and reporting workflows Partner with the Detection & Response team on purple team exercises to validate detection logic, improve alert fidelity, and influence threat models Translate offensive findings into concrete improvements by working directly with defensive security and engineering teams to close gaps Who You Are: You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in offensive security (red teaming, penetration testing, or adversary simulation) with a track record of operating against mature, well-defended environments You write production-quality code (Python, Go, or similar), can build your own tools, and automate your w
About the Team OpenAI’s Agentic Data Science team helps shape how AI agents are built, deployed, and improved across our products. We partner with product, engineering, research, and security teams to define meaningful measures of success, understand how our systems behave in the real world, and translate evidence into better decisions. As AI agents become more capable, they can write and execute code, access sensitive systems, and complete increasingly complex tasks with greater autonomy. These capabilities create powerful opportunities to improve cybersecurity, but they also introduce risks that traditional security tools and processes were not designed to address. Meeting this moment requires new ways to measure security, evaluate defenses, and distinguish genuine risk reduction from friction that slows users down. About the Role We are looking for a senior data scientist to help define what effective cybersecurity looks like in the age of AI agents. You will work across OpenAI’s Security organization and cybersecurity product teams to measure emerging risks, improve internal security controls, and shape AI-powered security products. The problems are foundational: How do we know whether an agent’s security controls are effective? Which safeguards meaningfully reduce risk, and which create unnecessary friction? When an AI system identifies a potential vulnerability, how do we determine whether the finding is accurate, actionable, and ultimately resolved? How do we detect anomalous behavior or risky access when the systems themselves are changing rapidly? You will report into Data Science while partnering closely with Security, Cyber Product, Engineering, and Research. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can establish a new analytical discipline, operate across organizational boundaries, and turn ambiguous security challenges into measurable improvements. In This Role You Will Define how we measure AI-agent security. Establish metrics and evaluation frame
About the Team The Solutions Engineering team is made up of trusted technical advisors who help organizations adopt OpenAI’s technology safely, effectively, and responsibly. We partner closely with customers, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Security to translate frontier AI capabilities into practical workflows that create real-world impact. Cybersecurity is one of the most urgent areas where AI can help. As frontier models become more capable at reasoning over code, logs, infrastructure, and security evidence, organizations need guidance on how to evaluate, validate, and deploy these systems safely. Our goal is to help customers move from identifying risks to implementing solutions. About the Role We are committed to bringing together people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives who are excited to help build and deploy safe, useful AI. We are seeking a solutions engineer to partner with our Enterprise customers and ensure they achieve tangible business value from our models through the OpenAI suite of products. You will partner with senior business stakeholders to understand their pre-sales needs, guide their AI strategy, and identify the highest value use cases and applications. You will work with business and technical teams to demonstrate the value of our solutions and recommend architectural patterns to kickstart their implementation and development. You will work closely with Enterprise Sales, Security, and Product teams. We are looking for a Field Security Specialist to help security leaders and hands-on practitioners understand how OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, and agentic workflows can be applied to real cybersecurity use cases. This is a customer-facing specialist role for someone who can move fluidly between CISO-level conversations, practitioner-level technical depth, and hands-on solution design. You’ll help customers evaluate OpenAI for workflows like secure code review, vulnerability triage, threat modeling, remediation, SOC workflows, detection en
About the Team The Cybersecurity Products team builds products at the frontier of AI and cybersecurity. Our work includes Codex Security and related cyber products that turn advances in model capability into dependable tools for defenders. We help teams find, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities, continuously improve the security of software, and test AI-powered applications before they reach production. About the Role As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build the product experiences and systems that make AI-powered security useful in real engineering environments. You will work across web surfaces, APIs, orchestration, data models, and integrations to help security and engineering teams move from a codebase or application to evidence-backed findings, prioritized remediation, and revalidation. You will collaborate closely with product engineers, security researchers, and customer-facing teams. The work spans fast-moving product development and hard systems problems: long-running workflows, large repositories, sensitive data, reliability, observability, and a high bar for earning user trust. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Build end-to-end workflows for vulnerability discovery, security scanning, red teaming, findings review, remediation, and reruns. Design and operate backend services for long-running security work, including APIs, asynchronous orchestration, durable state, and integrations with developer workflows. Make complex security results actionable through clear product surfaces, strong evidence, thoughtful prioritization, and reliable reporting. Partner with security researchers, product teams, and users to evaluate quality, reduce noise, improve coverage, and ship safely. You might thrive in this role if you: Have experience shipping production full-stack products across modern web frontends and backend s
