We are seeking a Staff engineer to design, build, and operate the internal and external Observability stack for the MongoDB platform. Tens of thousands of customers depend on our Observability stack to monitor their database clusters and to generate actionable alerts to safeguard critical workloads. This is an opportunity to join a team that is responsible for all Observability systems that support metrics, metric visualization, logs, traces, and alerts for MongoDB. We are looking for engineers with high standards, and experience in setting direction and technical leadership for large engineering teams in designing and operating complex distributed systems, with strict SLO on security, durability, availability and performance. As MongoDB Atlas and its supporting infrastructure continue to experience rapid growth, the demand for high-cardinality observability data for internal and external use cases means we need to continually innovate and scale our systems to the next level. For example, MongoDB Observability systems need to handle 10’s of billions of metrics time series, all whilst processing petabytes of logs, traces, and events. Our stack includes VictoriaMetrics, Splunk, Flink, WarpStream/Kafka, Java, Golang Fluentbit. In addition to owning critical components of our observability infrastructure, as a Staff engineer on the team, you’ll also work closely with other SWE, Product and SRE teams to promote and implement best practices in instrumenting and monitoring their services. This is a highly collaborative role, and you will get to own some of the most relied upon internal infrastructure at Mongo. Our team champions a strong culture of inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration. If you want to be a deeply technical leader on a collaborative team that applies low-level systems expertise to build the foundational infrastructure of a popular database, join us! Let’s build a faster, more reliable, and exceptionally observable database system together. W

MongoDB is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Atlas Organization. The organization is responsible for building MongoDB Atlas, our database-as-a-service offering and fastest growing product. Atlas allows users to deploy fault-tolerant, secure, globally distributed MongoDB clusters in just minutes. This includes developing software to interface with the three major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP) in order to bring security, durability, availability, and performance to all deployments of MongoDB. The Atlas Data Federation & Archiving team is an engineering team responsible for the Atlas capabilities that allow customers to move data from hot to cold storage and run federated queries over that data. The team builds Atlas Data Federation, a distributed query engine that lets users query data across Atlas Clusters and cloud object storage through a unified service. The team also builds Atlas Online Archive which allows customers to move data from Atlas Clusters into fully managed cloud object storage while preserving a seamless query experience across hot and cold datasets. We are forming a new Atlas Data Federation & Archiving team in the Dublin area. The Engineering Manager who fills this position will be pivotal in growing that team. The observability market is shifting from surfacing data to delivering answers. MongoDB is looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead that shift for database users, owning the strategy that takes customers from raw telemetry to AI-powered diagnostics and autonomous remediation, so developers can focus on building great applications instead of managing infrastructure. You will define how MongoDB turns raw telemetry into actionable intelligence, set the vision for AI-powered root cause analysis and proactive recommendations, and shape what best-in-class database observability looks like at global scale. The ideal candidate has experience shipping products that deal with data at scale, can engage deeply with senior engineering on technical architecture, and knows how to balance long-term platform investment against near-term customer value. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model. What you'll do Define the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for MongoDB observability, balancing the needs of developers, ops teams, enterprise customers, and internal engineering teams Help shape the next generation of AI-powered and agentic observability, including intelligent anomaly detection, automated root cause analysis, and proactive recommendations that help customers resolve issues before they escalate Own product strategy for experiences that span database health, performance diagnostics, alerting, log analysis, and data visualization, creating a coherent observability journey rather than a collection of disconnected tools Identify high-impact opportunities across the observability stack, from how customers monitor and understand their deployments to how MongoDB can reduce the operational burden of managing a database fleet at scale Lead customer discovery with developers, DBAs, and enterprise teams; turn qualitative and quantitative insights into clear product decisions that reduce time spent managing the database and incr
Atlas Growth is a cloud engineering group whose mission is to guide customers through their app development journey—from cluster configuration, data modeling and load testing, to running a production workload at scale. We use an in-house experiments platform which helps us validate our features quickly, releasing only the work that positively impacts our customers. Our engineers participate in cross-functional “squads” with product, design, analytics, and research focusing on a single metric (e.g. retention). Our engineering team is part of a larger Atlas Core Engineering org, building foundational elements of MongoDB’s developer data platform. Atlas Growth 2 builds customer-facing features in Atlas and sits alongside other Growth engineering teams. Recent projects include an AI Chatbot for cluster creation, a recommendation system that offers tips for better database performance, and a pricing page designed to optimize conversion rates. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model. Role Overview Atlas Growth seeks a mid-level software engineer (Software Engineer 3). SE3s are solid contributors to projects they work on and often lead projects of their own. They act in accordance with MongoDB’s core values and leadership principles, and are actively working toward a Senior role. Candidate Profile 3+ years of software engineering experience, with fluency in TypeScript/JavaScript, and experience with a modern framework (e.g. React) Proficiency in Java, Go, C++/C, or a similar compiled language is a plus Experience writing database queries, either document-based or relational Experience writing and reviewing technical specs, and leading small projects Interest in A/B testing or product design Expectations Contribute readable and well-tested code to ongoing projects Collaborate closely with product and design partners to implement and iterate on new customer facing features Write scope and technical spec docs for new projects
Every sales play, program change, funding update, and PRM release we build across MongoDB's partner ecosystem only creates value if the people who need to use it actually know how. We're looking for a Head of Partner Enablement to own that translation layer — end to end. This is a dual mandate: enabling our external partners (SIs, ISVs, and cloud partners) to sell, deliver, and support MongoDB effectively, and enabling our own internal partner organization (Sales Plays & Offerings, Partner Programs, Cloud & Hyperscaler Programs, and everyone else in the ecosystem function) to stay current on products, programs, and the frequent changes that come out of a fast-moving partner strategy. You'll report to the VP of Partner Strategic Operations and build the enablement function into the connective tissue for the entire partner organization — the team every other partner-facing role in this org relies on to actually land their work with the people who need it, inside MongoDB and out. We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin or London for our hybrid working model. What You'll Do Own the enablement strategy — both audiences Define and own a single enablement strategy that explicitly covers two audiences: external partners (SIs, OEMs, Resellers, ISVs, cloud/hyperscaler partners) and MongoDB's own internal partner organization Build the operating model, governance, and content standards that keep both tracks coherent, current, and tied to the same underlying source of truth — rather than running as two disconnected efforts Prioritize enablement investment based on business impact: which sales plays, program changes, or PRM releases most urgently need enablement behind them Enable external partners Own partner onboarding, certification pathways (including MongoDB's SI Associate and SI Architect tracks), and ongoing training content that keeps partners current on MongoDB products, sales plays, and programs Partner with the Sales Plays & Offerings
