Account Manager

About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We've passed $1B in annualized run rate, up 15x from a year ago. In October 2026 we raised a $750M Series D led by Accel at a $15.75B valuation. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luigi ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. About the Role: We're hiring the first Account Managers at Modal. You'll report to the Regional Director of Account Management and be a founding member of the team. This function does not exist yet. There is no playbook, no territory map, no established motion. You'll own a book of business from day one and build the motion at the same time — from fast-moving AI startups to large enterprise teams running critical infrastructure on Modal. This is a commercial role with a revenue target. You'll be measured on retention and expansion across your accounts. While you won't be delivering the technical recommendations and implementation, the work is technical by nature. Our customers are engineers running GPU workloads, inference, and batch jobs in production, and you need to hold your own in those conversations. The profile we're hiring is a technical account manager. You've worked at companies that are deeply te

VTS is the category leader in commercial real estate technology with more than 13 billion square feet managed on our platform globally. Every account in your book represents an opportunity to expand how some of the largest owners and operators in the industry leverage technology to modernize their portfolios. As an Account Manager, you will work directly with leadership while helping drive the next phase of growth at VTS. You will own expansion revenue across a portfolio of 60 to 80 SMB and lower mid market commercial real estate accounts. Your job is simple: generate and close net new revenue within your book. That means identifying whitespace, creating urgency, and running multiple deal cycles simultaneously, not waiting for opportunities to come to you. This is not a support role. Renewals and adoption are handled separately. You own the commercial motion including upsells, cross sells, and new product expansion, with a direct quota and meaningful upside for top performers. Here’s what you can expect as an Account Manager: Proactively identify expansion opportunities across your book using product usage data, account signals, and direct customer conversations. Run 30 to 60 day deal cycles across multiple accounts simultaneously. Build relationships with decision makers and navigate 1 to 3 stakeholder buying groups to close opportunities. Maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate forecasting and clear next steps on every active deal. Partner closely with Customer Success and Sales while maintaining ownership of the commercial opportunity. Create urgency and momentum across active deals instead of reacting to inbound demand. What makes you a great fit? 2-4 years in a quota carrying B2B SaaS role across account management, SMB sales, or expansion focused customer roles. Demonstrated success sourcing and closing expansion revenue independently. Experience managing a high volume book of business with strong organizat

Our mission is to eliminate the tradeoff between the power of hyperscalers and the simplicity of developer-friendly platforms—so teams can ship fast, scale reliably, and focus on their product, not infrastructure. Unlike complex hyperscalers or ephemeral edge/serverless solutions, Render offers a developer-first experience with persistent compute, dynamic autoscaling, built-in orchestration, and observability, allowing teams to launch, scale, and manage real-world applications without writing infrastructure code or managing servers. Whether you're building LLM-powered applications, scalable SaaS products, or async processing pipelines, Render empowers teams to move fast and scale confidently from MVP to millions of users. Our platform is trusted by over 7 million developers worldwide and continues to grow rapidly. In February 2026, we raised an additional $100M in Series C financing, bringing our total funding to $260M, to accelerate our vision of making cloud infrastructure both powerful and intuitive—designed for the speed of modern AI development.
