About the Role We are looking for a bright, kind and goal oriented Industrial Engineering Lead to join the Stitch Fix Industrial Engineering Team. In this role you'll be responsible for onsite process improvement and cost savings initiatives within our warehouses. Reporting into the Director of Industrial Engineering, the Industrial Engineering Lead will work closely with other members of the team and cross-functional operational partners in our warehouses located across the country. Responsibilities: Design and implement new technologies, processes, and equipment that will enable our warehouses to support business growth. Manage large cross functional projects from ideation to implementation. Create and update engineering labor standards within our labor management system. Conduct the economic evaluation of ideas and technologies, and write the business cases to justify projects and track results to demonstrate success Design layouts for facilities, equipment, inventory storage, workspaces, and material flows Create the technical specifications that define our equipment and facility standards, and warehouse automation concepts. Write the documents necessary to procure equipment and technical services such as scope of work, performance requirements, and acceptance criteria. Support maintenance with automated equipment downtime resolution. Conduct inventory capacity forecasting and related capital investment planning.
