About the Role As a Developer Experience Engineer, Cyber, you will create technical content, developer tools, and sample applications that help developers and security teams secure the software they build and depend on. You will turn OpenAI’s cybersecurity capabilities, including Codex Security, into clear, runnable examples and useful learning experiences. You will work directly with developers, security practitioners, and technical founders to understand their needs and show how AI can improve secure development and defensive security workflows. We’re looking for a hands-on engineer who combines strong software skills, creativity, developer empathy, and curiosity about cybersecurity, and who can own projects from the first prototype through release and ongoing improvement. Codex Security extends that work into one of the most important product areas in AI: helping organizations find, validate, prioritize, and fix real vulnerabilities in the software they build and depend on. The Codex Cyber team is building the product and platform foundations for AI-native application security. This includes Codex Security product experiences, cloud-based security analysis, platform controls across Codex, customer deployment and support tooling, and infrastructure that helps security researchers and cyber models improve over time. The team is early, small, and growing quickly, with a mandate to move fast and hire exceptional builders. About the Role We are looking for software engineers first: strong full-stack or product-minded generalists who can own ambiguous product and platform problems end to end. Security experience is helpful, and security curiosity is important, but this is not a role for security specialists who only occasionally write code. About the Role As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will build the product experiences and systems that make AI-powered security useful in real engineering environments. You will work across web surfaces, APIs, orchestration, data models, and integrations to help security and engineering teams move from a codebase or application to evidence-backed findings, prioritized remediation, and revalidation. You will collaborate closely with product engineers, security researchers, and customer-facing teams. The work spans fast-moving product development and hard systems problems: long-running workflows, large repositories, sensitive data, reliability, observability, and a high bar for earning user trust. We protect users and the wider world by developing responses to complex harms and building the harm protections needed for new product and model launches. Integrity’s work spans not only across frontier harms like biological weapons and cybersecurity, but also high severity abuses such as child safety, nation-state misuse, and violence. About the Role Protection Scientists within Integrity design, orchestrate, and mature systems of defence against usage harms enabled by OpenAI's products. We are systems thinkers that combine deep harm domain expertise with breadth across investigation, data science, machine learning, policy and operations. Our distinctive strength is understanding how these disciplines fit together and translating between them to design and build effective systems of defence.
