Jobiba's editorial policy

Jobiba's job counts and salary figures are calculated from job postings by fixed rules, not written or adjusted by AI. AI is used in some tools and to help draft written pages. Expert review is being rolled out, and a page shows a named reviewer only if that person reviewed it.

Where the numbers come from

Job counts, salary bands, trends and expiry dates are calculated from job postings in Jobiba's database by fixed rules. No AI model produces or adjusts them. The rules are described in Methodology (salaries) and How we verify jobs (jobs).

The text of a job posting is the employer's or the source's own words, not Jobiba's. Pay shown as a job's own pay is what the posting states. A market range on a job page is labelled as a Jobiba estimate and as not provided by the employer.

Where Jobiba uses AI

  • Tools you run. The AI job search and assistant, the resume, cover letter and bullet drafting tools, career-path and profile suggestions, and the tailoring and profile tools in the Jobiba connector for AI assistants. Each returns a draft or a suggestion to the person who asked. You decide what to save, send or submit.
  • Employer tools. Drafting a job post from pasted text or an uploaded document, and drafting a message to a candidate. The employer reviews and decides whether to post or send.
  • Behind the scenes. Vector embeddings of job and candidate-profile text, used for matching jobs and candidates. An optional AI check that flags suspicious job descriptions for an administrator to review, while fixed rules stay authoritative. AI-assisted industry classification (picked from a fixed list, after a rule-based attempt) that an administrator starts; company descriptions come from the company's own website.

Not AI: salary bands, job counts, expiry dates, the checks that reject non-jobs and applicant-payment language, and the rules that choose a company's website, logo and public hiring email.

All AI requests go through one internal service, and the model provider is chosen by Jobiba administrators, so the provider can change. Text you submit to an AI tool is sent to the provider configured for that tool to produce the result. See the Privacy Policy.

Guides, explainers and these pages

These trust pages were drafted with the help of AI tools, and other written pages (guides, explainers, tool descriptions) may be as well. Our rule is that AI may research, outline and draft, and that a named person adds first-hand knowledge and approves a page before a reviewer is shown on it. Where a page quotes Jobiba's own job or salary numbers, they come from job postings as described above.

These pages were checked against the software they describe, and an automated test fails the build when a number quoted on them no longer matches the code.

Named authors and reviewers

  • Only the four people on the Authors page may be named as an author or reviewer. Jobiba does not invent names, credentials, bylines, reviews or ratings.
  • A page shows a reviewer only if that person reviewed that page. Review is being rolled out page by page, so most pages do not show one yet. Read a page without a named reviewer as not yet reviewed by a specialist.

Advertising and paid promotion

  • Employers can place a pay-per-click bid to promote a job. In job search, the bid is the last ranking rule, applied after relevance, listing quality and freshness, so it separates matches that are otherwise equal.
  • Some public pages load Google AdSense and may show ads served by Google.
  • Neither affects salary figures, which are calculated only from the pay stated in postings.

Errors and corrections

If a page is wrong, email [email protected] with the page URL and what is wrong, or use the contact page. Do not include passwords or access tokens. When the text of a trust page changes, its “Last updated” date changes with it.
