Associate Backend Engineer

About Formation Bio Formation Bio is a tech and AI driven pharma company differentiated by radically more efficient drug development. Advancements in AI and drug discovery are creating more candidate drugs than the industry can progress because of the high cost and time of clinical trials. Recognizing that this development bottleneck may ultimately limit the number of new medicines that can reach patients, Formation Bio, founded in 2016 as TrialSpark Inc., has built technology platforms, processes, and capabilities to accelerate all aspects of drug development and clinical trials. Formation Bio partners, acquires, or in-licenses drugs from pharma companies, research organizations, and biotechs to develop programs past clinical proof of concept and beyond, ultimately helping to bring new medicines to patients. The company is backed by investors across pharma and tech, including a16z, Sequoia, Sanofi, Thrive Capital, John Doerr, Spark Capital, SV Angel Growth, and others. Every team and individual at the company shares these same values, and every team and individual plays a key part in our mission to bring new treatments to patients faster and more efficiently. About the Position Every decision at Formation Bio, from which drug asset to pursue to how a trial is run, is only as good as the data underneath it. As the Associate Director of Data Engineering, you'll lead the team responsible for that data platform, and this role is about multiplying their impact: you're accountable for the pipelines, warehouse, and data products they build, for how fast and how well they build them, and for creating the conditions in which the engineers who build and operate them can grow, perform at a high level, and sustain that performance ov

About the Team DoorDash is building a new category of B2B SaaS products that help restaurants manage and grow their businesses - one of the company's most strategic and high-visibility initiatives, backed directly by senior leadership. The business is one of the fastest-growing segments within DoorDash, and yet is only scratching the surface of a generational opportunity to better serve hundreds of thousands of merchants across the Americas and improve working lives in one of the country's biggest industry sectors. You will operate with the speed and autonomy of an early-stage startup, but with the resources, data, and scale of a public company. The team is small, the problems are complex, and your work will directly shape how we go to market, what we build, and how thousands of merchants grow their businesses. About the Role You’ll build, refine, and own the infrastructure and operating models that support the growth of DoorDash’s Enterprise Digital Ordering business, helping enterprise restaurant merchants transform their first-party digital experiences. As part of a key pillar within DoorDash’s Commerce Platform, you’ll work on high-impact initiatives with visibility across senior leadership, including the executive team. Within the Launch / Solutions Architect pod, you’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Integrations, Design, Merchant Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and Finance, while working directly with enterprise merchants. You’ll help build and scale a platform that brings together DoorDash products and restaurant integrations to help merchants reach and retain customers, preserve their distinct brand identity, and grow sales. What You'll Work On As a member of the DoorDash Commerce Platform Strategy & Operations (S&O) team, you will play a critical role in driving growth across our various products and services. You will be a founding member of the Product Operations function and help us build a world class ProdOps team while delivering 1st par

Lithic is the modern card issuing and processing platform empowering ambitious financial companies to build the future of payments. Our infrastructure powers card programs for 100+ innovative clients, from fintechs reimagining credit and digital banking to platforms transforming disbursements and spend management. Companies like Mercury, Flex, and Novo rely on Lithic's developer-friendly APIs, direct network connections, and flawless reconciliation to launch and scale card programs in weeks, not years. We're building a future where access to better financial products materially improves people's lives, free from the constraints of 30-year-old mainframes and legacy processors. We're a team of 170+ across 26 states and 7 countries, headquartered in New York City. Lithic's Treasury Operations team owns the movement of money across our card issuing infrastructure — network settlement, sponsor bank transfers, and the reconciliation that keeps it all provable. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who wants to learn the inner workings of payments and fintech infrastructure, not just observe them from a reporting layer. You'll be running a critical, time-sensitive engine every day — and at the same time, working alongside the Head of Treasury Operations to improve how that engine works as the function scales. You’ll also work cross-functionally across a wide range of teams (Finance, Treasury Engineering, Risk, Analytics, Processing, Customer Success, Bank Operations) — this role sits at the center of a lot of different workflows, not off in a silo. What you'll do: Execution (50%) Own day-to-day execution of network settlement transfers (Mastercard, Visa) and related treasury transfers across sponsor banks Operate in a time-sensitive environment where errors or
