As Controller, you’ll own the financial operations infrastructure that enables this scale—from accounting and reporting to financial systems and compliance. You’ll report directly to the CFO and partner with finance, supply chain, technology, and operations leadership to ensure our financial systems are accurate, efficient, and provide insights that drive business decisions. Responsibilities: Accounting Oversight Lead all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management Ensure full compliance with US GAAP (including revenue recognition, inventory costing, and accruals) Serve as primary reviewer of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial outputs Maintain and continuously improve accounting policies and documentation Internal Controls & Audit Buildout Design and implement a formal internal controls framework (SOX-ready mindset) Establish and document key controls across accounting processes Lead internal audit readiness, including testing, documentation, and remediation Identify control gaps and partner with stakeholders to strengthen processes Ensure the organization is audit-ready at all times Audit & Financial Reporting Lead audit preparation, including PBC schedules and auditor coordination Ensure all financial data is well-supported, documented, and defensible Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages Month-End Close Leadership Own and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process Establi

About the Role MongoDB is seeking a seasoned Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead the Company's global controllership organization at a pivotal stage of growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape the accounting function of a high-growth, publicly traded technology company as it scales into its next phase. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the VP, Corporate Controller will serve as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership and key cross-functional stakeholders, leading the strategy and performance of MongoDB's global accounting and external reporting function. This leader will own global accounting operations, international compliance, SEC reporting and technical accounting, global payroll, accounting center of excellence, and will serve as the Company's senior authority on U.S. GAAP.
