Senior Analytics Engineer The Data Science & Analytics team at Asana is how the company turns data into decisions — defining the questions that matter, surfacing the answers, and making sure insight is at the center of every critical product and business call . As a Senior Analytical Engineer, you sit at the intersection of Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science, and you own the data foundations for a business domain end to end. Your mandate is to turn raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets that PMs, analysts, data scientists, and leaders actually trust and use — and to define the business logic and metric standards that make AI-powered self-serve trustworthy. You consume governed Silver tables and produce the Gold layer and semantic layer beneath Asana's most important metrics, dashboards, and Genie spaces. This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule . The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday . Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays . Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do, and your recruiter can share more about the in-office requirements . What you’ll achieve Own the Gold layer for a given business domain (e.g., PLG funnel, marketing attribution, revenue, NPI/AWM): Design and continuously improve the curated, dimensional data models that downstream dashboards, Genie spaces, and ELT reporting depend on. Implement the canonical business logic behind your domain's core KPIs: Translate KPIs into governed, versioned metric marts that resolve "this number doesn't match" disputes for good. Build and curate the semantic layer and Genie spaces that power self-serve in your domain: Author the metadata, documentation, and prompt/metric definitions that let stakeholders query governed data in plain language through Claude and Databricks Genie. Own the metric dictionary for your domain: a single source of truth for what each metric means,

Establish the single source of truth for customer data. Then use it to get every customer to value, fast. On-site | Vancouver Office – 564 Beatty St The Problem We're Solving EviSmart™ has grown fast — data now lives in more places than it used to: the backend that runs the business, the CRM where sales and customer success work, and the data every lab brings with them when they join the platform. Reporting takes more cross-checking than it should, and the data-mapping step in lab onboarding — simple in concept but exacting in practice. This role exists to close that gap: one person who owns making EviSmart's customer data a single source of truth. Why EviSmart 300 people. Two hubs: Vancouver HQ and Manila operations. 145% year-over-year SaaS growth — the market is responding. 28 countries. One platform. The dental industry's Autopilot. An in-house AI model research and development team building proprietary intelligence. Why This Role, Right Now Sales, Customer Success, and go-to-market teams need to open one system and trust what they see — today they can't. And as the platform scales, onboarding has to become a repeatable machine instead of a per-customer rescue effort. These aren't future problems; they're live ones. The first months of this role are deliberately concrete: specific systems, specific deliverables, measured outcomes. But the mandate behind them is bigger — every system the platform adds and every AI capability the company builds will sit on the customer data foundation this person establishes. What You'll Own Own — Reconciliation of customer data across systems: pull a clean customer list from the backend into the CRM — no duplicates, no ghost accounts — audit what's already in HubSpot (call logs, deal history, contacts), and make the call on what stays, what gets cleaned, and what gets automated. Build — A live two-way integration between HubSpot and the backend: data flows automatically, actions trigger fro

Must be based in Vancouver The role We're hiring a dedicated data engineer to own the production data platform that our delivery, product, and engineering teams run on; designing integrated, governed data pipelines and delivering automated reporting, AI-assisted workflows, and predictive signals on top of them. You'll write production code, design systems, own CI/CD, and be accountable for the correctness of data that leaders make decisions on. What you'll do Design and operate our cloud data platform: ingestion, transformation, orchestration and serving. Integrate data from across the business (delivery tooling, CRM, product telemetry, finance, support and customer feedback systems) with shared identifiers, data contracts and lineage. Build automated and continuously refreshed reporting so teams manage by exception rather than chasing status. Connect approved AI agents to governed data with structured outputs, provenance, guardrails and human approval in the loop. Build feature pipelines and the MLOps controls behind predictive use cases: tests, versioning, promotion gates and drift monitoring. Own the engineering standards for data: testing, observability, environment promotion, PII classification and access control. What you'll bring Strong software engineering fundamentals: production-quality code, API and interface design, testing discipline, systems design. Real experience building and operating production data platforms on a cloud warehouse or lakehouse (Snowflake and AWS preferred) with dbt and a modern orchestrator. Practical AI tooling experience: something shipped, not prototyped. LLM-backed classification, extraction or structured-output pipelines; agent and tool-calling workflows; retrieval; evals.
