ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking exceptional Electrical Engineers to join our growing team in Memphis and help design, build, and optimize on-site power generation for SpaceXSI's high-density AI supercomputing facilities. This role owns plant electrical systems for gas turbine generation — from generator, excitation, and synchronization through 34.5 kV collect/export, protection, e-houses, blackstart, and switching. You will collaborate across electrical, mechanical, power systems, and construction teams to deliver reliable, massive-scale generation. This is a full-time, onsite role based in the Memphis region. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a member of the SpaceXSI construction team in Memphis, you will design, build, and activate some of the world’s most technically advanced electrical infrastructure — from high-voltage substations through medium-voltage distribution to low-voltage data center power systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). We execute complex electrical construction projects and infrastructure improvements from cradle to grave. You will operate with autonomy to solve diverse and complex power-system problems, excel at managing multiple projects at a time, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will work with other construction engineers, electrical contractors, equipment vendors, utilities, architects, and internal customers to deliver reliable, high-capacity electrical systems that support AI-scale compute. ABOUT THE ROLE: The Data Center Engineering team designs training and inference compute clusters from first principles, pushing thermal, electrical, and optical systems to the limit of physics. We operate as a highly cross-disciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineers, all working to maximize the efficiency, reliability, and deployment speed of terrestrial computing to serve rapidly scaling demand. This team owns compute architecture, datacenter network design, rack builds, connectivity, in-house design of our own computers, and the manufacturing line that builds that compute.
