Engineering Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager of Network Engineering to lead the team responsible for the connectivity that powers our operations. This position manages our network infrastructure across multiple global sites, data centers, cloud environments, corporate offices, specialized vehicle depots, and charging infrastructure. You will step into a critical leadership role that demands a strong focus on operational stability, security, and safety-critical reliability. A successful candidate will possess strong project management, vendor management, and organizational skills, with deep experience scaling network capacity to meet critical business deadlines. You will guide a highly capable engineering team while heavily leveraging and managing third-party partners to execute builds and maintain support at a global scale. In This Role, You Will... Team Leadership & Strategy: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Network Architects and Engineers. Establish technical standards, clear roadmaps, and maintain a high bar for team execution. Infrastructure & Deployment: Oversee the end-to-end network design and deployment for all physical expansions, including manufacturing sites, vehicle depots, and high-bandwidth facilities. Lead high-priority, cross-functional projects to accelerate large-scale deployments with tight deadlines. Operations & Reliability: Maintain the availability of production and enterprise networks by defining and reporting on SLAs. Develop key metrics and log data for response and review. Function as an escalation point for network issues and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Facilities, Security, and Infosec teams to deploy and support secure site connectivity and vehicle carrier connectivity. Lead cross-functional architecture design review sessions. Vendor & Financial Management: Own and manage budgeting for all networking

As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the full project life-cycle of design and construction for Zoox’s various real estate assets. Our capital projects include a wide variety of typologies- from office and amenities to engineering/R&D, manufacturing, testing/proving grounds, fleet operations, fleet charging and fleet service sites. Project sizes, complexity and budgets will vary from $50K to $30M+. You will own project delivery beginning with pre-lease site due diligence and project planning all the way through project occupancy and close out. The c candidate will need to know all aspects of project delivery- including fiscal and schedule, design, construction and delivery. In this role, you will: Responsible for leading multiple capital construction projects of various complexity from initiation through close-out, owning the entire project lifecycle from pre-design through commissioning. Provide critical financial and schedule management, including creating and monitoring control systems for cost estimates, budgets, value engineering, schedules, and change orders, and reviewing/approving all architect, engineer, contractor, and vendor invoices. Partner with internal cross-functional teams to develop project programs, masterplan campus/city level projects, and collaborate with real estate teams on due diligence and lease negotiations. Manage procurement by sourcing appropriate team members (External PMs, Architects, MEP Engineers, and other trades) through the RFP process and contract execution, and by developing/recommending the project delivery method (Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build or other). Accountable for deliverables while tracking progress, driving all required entitlements, permits, and contracts, completing bid review and analysis for formal funding recommendations, and managing weekly and quarterly executive reports. This role will develop creative solutions to accelerate the rollout of Zoox's operational, infrastructure, and testing footprint. You will define specific requirements for new sites and solutions, evaluate external partners to support staging, maintenance, testing, and other operational tasks, and execute the end-to-end integration of these facilities into our network. You are responsible for the physical and procedural blueprint that allows Zoox to activate and expand new cities quickly alongside its partner network and to support operational planning, forecasting, decision-making, and long-term strategy for Zoox’s service and testing operations. In this role, you will: Define requirements and frameworks that enable Zoox to leverage strategic partnerships for rapid city deployments. Drive flexible site developments with a focus on integration speed and growing service capabilities across the partner real estate network. Spearhead joint development initiatives, serving as the primary operational link between external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure the seamless integration of new sites and infrastructure. Identify and evaluate strategic external networks and partners to support specialized fleet requirements, driving expansion strategies that accelerate market entry / expansion speed. Support procurement and partnership initiatives for Zoox’s testing infrastructure requirements; build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
