About the Team Cx App Foundations is a platform organisation within our global Cx organisation. It provides shared consumer foundations and platform capabilities used by engineering teams across Wolt, DoorDash, and Deliveroo. Within this organisation, the Velocity team owns the paved road for consumer app development across mobile and web: shared SDKs and client foundations, integration patterns and multi-brand customisation, migration playbooks and reference implementations, and developer tooling that makes building on shared foundations fast and safe. Our mission is to reduce the cost, time, and risk of building consumer experiences across platforms and brands. Product teams own customer-facing experiences; our job is to make sure they can spend their time on delivering delightful experiences. About the Role As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of experienced engineers across mobile and web, collaborating closely with product teams, design, and adjacent platform organisations across three brands. We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to join our EMEA Growth & Engagement team, which owns the growth and engagement of Wolt+ and Deliveroo Plus across 40+ markets in Europe and the Middle East and is working to build the best local commerce membership programs in the markets we operate in. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and frontend developers to ship features that support internal support agents across the globe. Design systems that are scalable , resilient , and easy to maintain. Lead and contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making. Write well-tested code and help the team maintain high code quality standards. Our humble expectations: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and scaling complex systems. 2+ years of production experience in Golang , with the ability to mentor others and drive best practices across the team. Strong hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases — especially Cassandra. Solid understanding of designing and operating low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems . New Verticals is everything our customers buy that isn't a restaurant meal: groceries, pharmacy, electronics, the shop on the corner. It's one of the company's growth engines and still largely unsolved as a product problem - a forty-item grocery basket is nothing like ordering dinner.
