Zoox is seeking a high-agency, hands-on Lead Analytics Engineer to bridge the gap between our complex enterprise data sources and our AI-driven decision-making systems. You will lead the design and implementation of our semantic layer and data modeling strategy, ensuring that data from SAP (S/4HANA, Ariba, BRIM, ME), Workday, Salesforce, and Anaplan is transformed into clean, performant, and "AI-ready" datasets. This is a critical leadership role for a builder who wants to own the data foundation that powers our intelligent agents and business-wide analytical workflows. In this role, you will: Design and maintain a unified semantic model that provides a "single source of truth" for cross-functional stakeholders, AI Agents, Self Serve Analytics and Executive dashboards. Collaborate with Data & AI Engineers to structure and optimize the data that allows to query enterprise knowledge with high accuracy and low latency. Establish organizational standards for data modeling, version control, testing, and documentation to ensure high data quality and system maintainability. Implement automated testing and observability frameworks that proactively identify data anomalies and "self-heal" pipelines, ensuring our data is always reliable for downstream consumption. Partner with cross-functional business leaders to translate complex operational requirements into high-impact, scalable data solutions. Qualifications: 10+ years in Data Engineering & Analytics, with extensive hands-on experience building a semantic framework using Python, SQL and modern orchestration frameworks (e.g. Airflow, Lakeflow, Argo). The Program Management Office (PMO) at Zoox is responsible for driving cross-functional program planning and execution at the highest level. We partner with leaders across vehicle development, software engineering, manufacturing, fleet operations, and business functions to deliver the major corporate milestones on the path to launch, and beyond. The quality of those decisions depends on how fast the right evidence reaches the right people — and that is what this role builds. As a Tooling contractor in PMO, you will build the internal web tools and dashboards that decisions get made on. Zoox generates an enormous amount of data — fleet and simulation logs, program and issue tracking, operational telemetry, map and route data — but very little of it arrives in a form a leader can act on. You will close that gap: pull from existing sources, model the data properly, and ship tools that answer real business questions, including geospatial tooling that scores and compares candidate service areas to inform where we deploy next. The feedback loop is short. Your users sit in the same building, your tools will show up in program and executive reviews within weeks of shipping, and you will own a piece of the stack end to end rather than work a ticket queue. In this Role, You Will... Build and ship internal web tools and dashboards on top of existing Zoox data sources, owning them from prototype through the version leaders rely on. Start from the decision, not the dataset — work with TPMs and engineering partners to turn a vague business question into a scoped tool, then iterate quickly on their feedback. Drive Systems owns the critical path from autonomous trajectory to vehicle motion — taking a trajectory from our AI stack and translating it into drive control actuator commands (motor torques, brake torques, steering angles, and more), arbitrating between control sources (our nominal AI stack, in-house remote controller, and test sources like drive-by-wire and trajectory spoofing), and continuously monitoring the safety of trajectory execution and drive control ECUs. We're hiring a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to own source control at Zoox, serving as the technical lead for the platform that every engineer depends on daily. This is a hands-on lead role. You'll set the direction for our Git-based monorepo, drive a restructuring of our Source Code management strategy, build the tooling that improves reliability and developer workflows, and partner with platform, security, and product teams to make source control a strategic asset rather than a bottleneck. The ideal candidate leads by building — with deep expertise in monorepo management (branching strategies, code review workflows, access controls, CI/CD) and a track record of improving developer productivity through code, not just guidance.
