The Role Mach Industries is seeking a GNC Engineer, Modeling & Simulation to design, build, and maintain high-fidelity aircraft simulation environments in support of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) development. You will be responsible for realizing equations of motion in software, developing and validating aerodynamic and plant models, and creating the simulation infrastructure required for both software-in-the-loop (SITL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of physics-based modeling, software development, and systems integration. You’ll collaborate closely with aerodynamicists, controls engineers, and hardware teams to ensure Mach’s autonomous platforms are accurately modeled and rigorously tested before flight. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-fidelity flight dynamics and vehicle simulation models. Implement equations of motion in C++ and Python for real-time and offline simulation environments. Collaborate with the aerodynamics team to incorporate aerodynamic models derived from CFD and wind tunnel testing. The Role Support control design and evaluation for Mach’s fixed-wing aircraft. You’ll own your piece of the aircraft design, implementation, and validation of flight-critical control laws—spanning takeoff to landing—delivering robust performance across the full envelope. Key Responsibilities Design control systems within defined architecture and requirements for fixed-wing vehicles Design and implement control laws accounting for actuator limits, time delays, and sensor noise as part of the controls team Participate in system identification and aerodynamic model development from wind-tunnel, CFD, and flight-test data Execute verification & validation work: SIL/HIL campaigns, Monte Carlo, and flight-readiness criteria; communicate findings to the team and program leadership. About the Role Systems Technology, Inc. (STI) is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer - UAS to join our Aerospace division, supporting flight software development for next-generation UAS and counter-UAS platforms. You'll work at the intersection of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) software and the embedded hardware it runs on — writing, testing, and debugging flight-critical code for fault-tolerant flight controllers and mission systems. This is hands-on work: you'll be as comfortable on an oscilloscope bench as you are in a debugger.
