About the Team This role reports into our New Verticals team, which was launched in 2020 with the purpose of delighting our customers and empowering our local economies outside of just restaurants. Since then, we’ve launched Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail, and DashMarts while also building merchant services, dasher tooling and consumer products. About the Role Join one of DoorDash’s fastest-growing teams and help define what great looks like for Convenience. From the strategy behind how orders get fulfilled to the product features that make it happen, you’ll sit at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, and Product, working directly with Engineering and Product teams to shape what gets built and own the outcomes end-to-end. Key Responsibilities Partner with Product and Engineering to define requirements, prioritize features, and ship solutions that improve the end-to-end customer experience across DoorDash’s Convenience network. Lead cross-functional initiatives that close the gap between platform inventory and real-world in-store availability, to ensure customers always get exactly what they ordered. Set the strategic roadmap for convenience quality — defining the metrics that matter, building toward a long-term vision, and partnering across the New Verticals Org to get there. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and product. The best operators today are rapidly generating new ideas, taking ownership over metrics and moving them in the right direction, putting together product visions, and synthesizing complex analyses — all while leveraging AI to uplevel how we operate. We expect this person to stay at the forefront of how AI is reshaping the work, actively exploring new tools, automating repetitive workflows, and finding ways to do in hours what used to take weeks. About the Team New Verticals is a lean team in growth mode at DoorDash that is building and scaling new categories for our customers, leveraging the DoorDash platform. New Verticals includes over 100K grocery, convenience, alcohol, retail and DashMart businesses. The Shopping Experience team supports our New Verticals platform, with a focus on making the end-to-end DoorDash customer experience faster, easier and more delightful than shopping in store. About the Role Search is critical to delivering a seamless customer experience. We’re looking for someone to join and lead our Search team across New Verticals (Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail). You will be responsible for defining, executing and optimizing product initiatives aimed at ensuring customers can quickly and confidently find what they’re looking for. You will work closely with product, engineering, and data science to launch experiences that make shopping 10x better for our customers. You’ll dive deep into data to understand consumer behavior, measure impact, and identify opportunities to improve search relevance and conversion across the app. You’ll report into a Director on our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team and manage a small team. Grocery is one of our highest priority, most complex verticals that is key to acquiring consumers to new verticals outside of just restaurants. About the Role We are hiring two Associate Manager roles on our Grocery Merchant Strategy & Operations teams to lead high growth segments of the grocery business - mid market and local grocery. In this role you will serve as the general manager of your respective segment – the central owner of the end to end merchant and customer experience to make them successful. Your role will include a mix of managing the day to day success of the segment, while also driving long-range strategic bets that are critical to the portfolio’s success. You will partner closely with product, engineering, finance, analytics and sales / business development to bring these initiatives to life! About the Team The New Verticals Business Development team is a small, fast-paced, high-performing group responsible for establishing, managing and scaling new lines of business at DoorDash in the retail and logistics space. About the Role As an Associate of Emerging Retail Partnerships , you will support the day-to-day management of our merchant partners and help them grow with DoorDash.
