Job description
Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Micron’s Systems Integration Group (SIG) develops and integrates advanced equipment solutions that support semiconductor manufacturing and test operations. The team collaborates across engineering fields to deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable systems that improve manufacturing performance, safety, and efficiency. Team members gain exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through integration, testing, and deployment.
As a New College Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of electrical systems used in semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment. This role provides hands-on experience in electrical design, power distribution, controls, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting while working alongside experienced engineers. You will apply engineering fundamentals, analytical problem-solving, and modern engineering tools to support the successful delivery of complex equipment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support electrical systems for semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and user documentation.
- Perform power distribution design, circuit analysis, component selection, testing, troubleshooting, and design validation activities.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, engineering change implementation, and multi-functional system integration efforts.
- Apply AI-Assisted tools and Generative AI solutions to support engineering documentation, technical analysis, troubleshooting, and process improvement while maintaining engineering standards and appropriate human review.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of circuit analysis, power systems, and analog and digital electronics.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience Using AI tools or AI Assistants to support technical analysis, documentation, research, or engineering workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, academic project, or laboratory experience involving electrical system design or integration.
- Experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar electrical CAD tools.
- Exposure to power distribution, instrumentation, controls, embedded systems, automation, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Experience participating in engineering design projects, FMEA activities, risk assessments, or design validation processes.
- Experience Applying AI, Artificial Intelligence, or Agentic AI solutions to support engineering analysis, fixing, automation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
