About the role As an Operations Specialist (f/m/d) in Sea Freight Export, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality transport execution, providing comprehensive customer service, and driving a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Advise and support clients on the entire logistics process. Manage shipments from booking to invoicing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Communicate and coordinate with key partners, such as customs and carriers. Prepare and document manual quotations accurately and efficiently. Ensure and improve the quality of customer processes, leveraging data analysis to drive enhancements. Required Skills and Experience Practical experience in Sea Freight Export operations. A highly data-driven and organized work ethic. Business fluent in German and good English skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. In the role of an Air Freight Operations Specialist (f/m/d), you will own the end-to-end process of delivering high-quality transport services and comprehensive customer support, with a direct focus on achieving high customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Manage End-to-End Shipments: Oversee shipments from booking to invoicing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Customer Support & Consulting: Advise and support clients throughout the entire logistics process, acting as a trusted partner. Partner Coordination: Conduct communication and coordination with key partners, including customs, airlines, and service providers. Process Improvement & Quality Assurance: Drive the quality of customer processes and workflows, leveraging data analysis to identify and implement continuous improvements. Your Role Join the Pricing Desk Europe (PDE) and play a vital role in driving profit and volume growth at Forto. You will support the commercial team by providing timely and accurate quotations and contribute to Forto's growth through collaboration with our tech teams. Your role is essential in delivering precise and prompt quotations, enhancing the customer experience, and advancing Forto’s strategic growth initiatives. You Will Prepare and deliver accurate sea freight quotations within agreed turnaround times, directly supporting commercial teams in driving new business. Develop and apply competitive pricing strategies based on market rates, carrier data, and lane-specific trends, while acting as a core interface between trade, commercial, and operations to ensure alignment on strategy and execution. Execute quality checks on rate calculations, surcharges, and currency conversions to safeguard margins and pricing accuracy. Maintain and continuously improve pricing tools, rate sheets, and templates in Excel or Google Sheets to ensure data integrity and consistency. Collaborate closely with our Tech-Product teams to enhance pricing systems and automate quotation workflows, bridging traditional freight forwarding practices with digital solutions. Manage pricing processes that are sustainable and scalable across our European Sea Freight network.
