Procurement Operations Manager

This role will develop creative solutions to accelerate the rollout of Zoox's operational, infrastructure, and testing footprint. You will define specific requirements for new sites and solutions, evaluate external partners to support staging, maintenance, testing, and other operational tasks, and execute the end-to-end integration of these facilities into our network. You are responsible for the physical and procedural blueprint that allows Zoox to activate and expand new cities quickly alongside its partner network and to support operational planning, forecasting, decision-making, and long-term strategy for Zoox’s service and testing operations. In this role, you will: Define requirements and frameworks that enable Zoox to leverage strategic partnerships for rapid city deployments. Drive flexible site developments with a focus on integration speed and growing service capabilities across the partner real estate network. Spearhead joint development initiatives, serving as the primary operational link between external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure the seamless integration of new sites and infrastructure. Identify and evaluate strategic external networks and partners to support specialized fleet requirements, driving expansion strategies that accelerate market entry / expansion speed. As Strategic Sourcing Manager of Direct Procurement, you will be responsible for Zoox’s strategic sourcing and industry partnerships, which includes working cross-functionally to understand needs for third-party engagement across the business, finding and evaluating potential partners and suppliers, drafting and issuing RFQs, leading the negotiation of all key terms and conditions as well as pricing, managing commercial and supply chain issues, identifying and executing on cost reduction opportunities, and overall management of third party relationships. The Finance Operations team at Zoox sits at the center of the Finance organization. The team consolidates planning inputs from across FP&A into a single companywide financial forecast, and reports actuals and forecast performance upward to Zoox leadership and our parent company, Amazon. Finance Operations co-owns MEC activities with Zoox Accounting, driving core accrual, allocation, and reconciliation workstreams, as well as key managerial financial reporting packages. Lastly, Finance Operations governs purchase order hygiene, enforcing accounting policy at the point of commitment and tracking timely goods receipts. As a Finance Operations Analyst, your primary responsibilities will focus on MEC and purchase order hygiene, and flex into projects supporting other areas of scope for the team. You will partner with budget owners across the organization, the FP&A analysts, and Accounting on these workstreams and directly drive improvement of financial processes and accuracy of financial results. This role requires a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and procure-to-pay processes, along with the judgment to know when to resolve an issue directly and when to escalate it. You will leverage SAP S4, SAP Ariba, and other internal reporting systems to analyze spend data and provide actionable insights that improve compliance, spend visibility, and the efficiency of the requisition process.
