Senior Engineering Manager

HackerRank helps companies like NVIDIA, Amazon, and Microsoft hire and upskill the next generation of developers based on skills, not pedigree. Our platform is trusted by over 2,500 of the world’s most innovative companies to build strong engineering teams ready for what’s next. Software has entered an era where humans and AI build side by side. As this shift accelerates, the definition of strong technical talent is changing. We give companies better ways to identify and invest in next-generation skills. People at HackerRank care deeply about the impact of their work and sweat the small details so our customers can be wildly successful with products they genuinely love to use. We move with urgency and believe great outcomes come from high standards. About the role HackerRank Interviews is a live technical interviewing platform designed to evaluate how candidates solve realistic engineering problems, not just whether they can pass an algorithm test. Candidates and interviewers collaborate in a shared workspace using coding tools, production-style repositories, and Plan-Build-Review tasks. The platform also supports observable AI-assisted development, letting teams assess how candidates prompt, review, and apply AI-generated work, with observation tools and post-interview reports giving hiring teams clearer, structured evidence for decisions. In this role, you'll help lead the Interviews product - an AI-native, pair-programming interview experience that gives interviewers the ability to collaborate with candidates on real-world problems and code repos. You'll shape how the platform evolves across richer ADE experiences (harnesses like Claude Code and Codex CLI), Chakra Assist for evaluation, richer session observation (screen sharing, A/V), and reporting across in-product, exports, APIs and MCP. You'll work closely with engineers as collaborators and as the product's core customer and user base including senior engineering leadership as stakeholders who care deeply ab

About the role We are looking for a Senior AI Data Operations Manager to own and run our end-to-end LLM model data creation pipeline from sourcing and managing vendors, to coordinating with engineering teams to evaluate model performance to closing the loop by creating targeted data for edge cases ensuring the data our models train on meets the highest quality standards. This role will manage the end-to-end AI data pipeline across 10+ AI features spanning multiple products on our platform This is a cross-functional operations role that sits at the intersection of ML, product, and operations management. You will be the connective tissue between our machine learning engineers, internal annotators, and external vendors, translating technical requirements into actionable data creation workflows and ensuring every batch of data that reaches our models is accurate, well-annotated, and fit for purpose. We move with urgency and believe great outcomes come from high standards. We are hiring a Global Talent Acquisition Partner who operates less like a traditional recruiter and more like a builder. This role owns Product, Engineering, and Design hiring in India with exposure to US and EMEA reqs and some GTM hiring. A lot of what we hire sits at the intersection of AI, product, and platform. Terms like RLHF, SFT, and foundation model work should already mean something to you before the intake call. On the GTM side, you should know whether a role calls for a PLG-motion seller, an enterprise AE, or a RevOps operator and understand how ARR stage and ICP shape that answer. About the role Hiring is one of the most consequential decisions a company makes. 3,000+ enterprises rely on HackerRank to get it right. We are now reinventing how that works for the agentic era. The ML systems that power this platform are not auxiliary features. They are the product. Open Problems The agentic era is reshaping every layer of the hiring stack. These are some of the core problems you'll be working across, none of them fully solved. Chakra: Building an autonomous AI interviewer that conducts, adapts to, and evaluates technical interviews end to end. Integrity: Detecting fraud and suspicious behavior across multiple signal types. The ways candidates game assessments change frequently, and the models need to keep up. Evaluation: Measuring technical skill in a world where AI writes the code. The old proxies no longer hold and the new ones have not been defined yet. Your focus will shift across these depending on where the highest-leverage work is at any given time. What you will do Design and ship production ML systems across Chakra, integrity, and evaluation domains. Own the full ML lifecycle: problem framing, data strategy, experimentation, deployment, and iteration. Build evaluation infrastructure and bench
