The Team + The Role The Pendo for Agents team builds Pendo's AI and agent product area, a large greenfield surface where much of the architecture is being defined as the team builds. This team operates at the center of a fast-moving product space where engineering decisions shape both the customer experience and the technical foundation for future scale. As Senior Manager, Engineering, you will own technical direction for Pendo for Agents end to end and be fully accountable for delivery, engineering quality, and the talent pipeline. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Staff and Principal engineers, and adjacent Engineering leaders to make high-quality architecture decisions, guide execution, and grow a team that can move quickly without over-building. This role is based in our New York City office. You will support onboarding, professional development, and the growth of strong individual contributors and emerging technical leaders. Architecture ownership: Own the technical direction for the Pendo for Agents architecture end to end. You will partner with Staff and Principal engineers on build-versus-buy decisions, including when to use existing frameworks and when to build in-house. Delivery execution: Guide prioritization, planning, and execution across the team while maintaining a healthy delivery cadence. You will own delivery commitments across sprint and quarterly planning cycles and hold the team accountable to outcomes. Cross-functional partnership: Partner with Product and Design to deliver high-quality features using Agile development practices. You will align on scope, sequencing, and risk while surfacing engineering constraints early and maintaining trust under pressure. Player-coach technical leadership: Stay hands-on in architecture and technical pro

We're looking for an Engineering Manager II to own and grow the Observability Pipelines engineering org at a pivotal moment in the product's lifecycle. Observability Pipelines is Datadog's on-premise, vendor-agnostic telemetry pipeline product, with a lot still to build as it grows and scales. It sits at the center of a fast-consolidating market, is central to Datadog's data pipeline optimization story for Logs and Metrics customers. This is a build-and-scale opportunity: you'll grow the management and technical leadership layers, co-own the roadmap with Product, and define how this org operates as it continues to expand. About the Team The Storage organization builds and operates the online stateful systems and abstractions that DoorDash Engineering depends on: reliable, efficient, secure, and easy to use. Within Storage, the Event Streaming Systems team owns the event streaming platform that powers business-critical, event-driven workflows across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo, including Kafka, our event streaming abstraction layer (internally called Event Bus), and the next generation of streaming platform technologies. These systems sit on the Tier-0 critical path. They move trillions of events per day across multiple regions and underpin how hundreds of engineering teams build reliable, event-driven products at massive scale. About the Role We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for our event streaming platform and lead its evolution over the next several years. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you'll operate as a force multiplier across teams, owning the hardest architectural problems, driving org-wide technical strategy, and raising the engineering bar for everyone who builds on and operates streaming infrastructure. You'll go deep on the internals of modern streaming systems, from the Kafka protocol and storage engine to object-store-backed, diskless architectures like WarpStream and AutoMQ. You'll make the high-leverage bets that determine how DoorDash streams data for years to come, on a platform that serves hundreds of engineering teams and trillions of events per day. You must be located in the New York Metro Area for this hybrid position. You will report to the Engineering Manager on our Event Streaming Systems team within the Storage organization. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Set the multi-year technical vision and architecture for DoorDash's event streaming platform, and drive alignment in that direction across Storage, SRE, Data Platform, and Product Engineering. You'll partner closely with Personalization, Subscriptions, Experience, and creator-facing teams to strengthen and evolve book experiences across surfaces, and help shape a product strategy that directly improves how listeners discover and enjoy books. What You'll Do Shape and execute product strategy across core book experiences, conversion flows, content pipeline, and creator tooling. Partner with teams across Spotify to identify and close gaps across book surfaces, creating a coherent end-to-end experience from content pipeline through to the consumer experience. Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Product Insights, and Program Management to lead improvements across discovery, conversion, listening, and creator-facing surfaces.
