Senior Manager, Procurement

About Ramp Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it. About the Team & Role Ramp's procurement product is changing how companies buy. We've built the fastest intake-to-pay platform on the market — 3x faster than traditional P2P workflows, with AI that automates sourcing, contract extraction, approval routing, and invoice matching in one place. Customers save an average of 16% on vendor spend annually and eliminate 46+ hours of manual purchasing work every month. As Manager of Procurement Activation, you're the person who makes that real at scale . You'll lead a team of Procurement Activation Specialists working with Mid-Market customers, typically 100 to 999 employees, $50M to $100M in revenue, from discovery and configuration through go-live. Where your ICs work directly with CFOs and controllers to redesign how individual companies buy, you're building the system that makes those implementations excellent, repeatable, and fast. This is a founding role . There's no playbook to inherit — you'll write it. That means developing your people, building the motion from scratch, and becoming the primary p

About the Team OpenAI is building Procurement of the future: one that uses AI-enabled systems, clean data, and scalable processes to help the business absorb increasing complexity, speed, volume, and throughput — while enabling teams across OpenAI to operate more strategically and at greater scale. The Hardware Procurement Operations team supports the operational flow of goods and hardware purchasing across OpenAI's hardware business units. We help teams turn business needs into controlled, accurate, and executable procurement activity, from request intake through purchase orders, supplier coordination, change management, receiving readiness, and downstream invoice support. As OpenAI scales, we are building procurement operations that can support changing hardware needs, new business unit priorities, and increasing operational complexity. That means creating practical standards where they help, preserving flexibility where the business requires it, and continuously improving how requests, suppliers, POs, data, and controls move through our systems. About the Role As a Senior Manager of Procurement Operations focused on Hardware, you will own procurement operations for one or more assigned hardware business units. You will be the day-to-day DRI for hardware and goods procurement activity, leading work from intake through purchase requests, POs, supplier needs, changes, receiving readiness, and operational escalations. This is a hands-on operator-builder role for someone who understands the practical complexity of hardware and goods procurement and can both run the work and redesign how the work gets done. You will keep work moving while improving the operating model through better systems, workflows, automation, AI-enabled processes, controls, metrics, and operating leverage. You will evaluate how people, process, policy, systems, data, fiscal controls, and accounting practices come together, and you will work closely with other Central Procurement and BU Procurement

You will be expected to review requests in the system, make or guide request and PO updates, resolve operational issues, and use that firsthand view to identify what needs to change. You will push the envelope without losing the thread on risk, staying close enough to the details to understand where friction, ambiguity, and control gaps show up. You will help improve procurement outcomes across intake, purchase requests, PO quality, supplier coordination, approval workflows, documentation, service delivery, and downstream financial handoffs. We manage risk and create value through agility, technology, and a people-first approach. Protective Services is the function accountable for the safety of the people we protect and the environments they live and work in, wherever they are. About the Role We are hiring a Senior Manager, Protective Services to lead protective operations, reporting to the Director, Protective Services. This is as much a build-and-execute mandate as a leadership one. You own the decisions that keep protection working, including how teams are staffed and assigned, how protection is set for a given person and situation, what we spend and which vendors we use, what people are trained to do, and how incidents get handled. This is a player-coach role, and the coaching half does not keep you off the field. You will work advances, travel with the people we protect, and take your turn in the rotation while setting the standard the team works to. Protection here is a service. It works when the people we protect can move through their lives with as little friction as we can manage, and when they trust the team enough to tell us what we need to know. You own protective operations, training and standards, vendor management, incident response, and converged physical-cyber protection. Protective teams, intelligence, and cybersecurity work on the same problem simultaneously, and detection and intelligence capabilities drive our protective posture. Success in the first year means a tight operating rhythm, training and qualification standards that hold up against the best protective programs, a team that is current and deployable
