At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done. Snowflake’s Release Engineering team builds and operates the systems that safely deliver infrastructure, platform, and product changes to production at global scale. We own the release platforms, rollout orchestration, and safety mechanisms that allow engineering teams across Snowflake to ship quickly while minimizing operational risk. Our mission is to make production deployments fast, safe, self-service, increasingly autonomous, and augmented by AI-driven intelligence and automation. This role sits at the intersection of developer productivity, distributed systems reliability, and large-scale multi-cloud infrastructure orchestration. At Snowflake, Release Engineering is a platform engineering function focused on building the systems, abstractions, and automation that make software delivery safe, scalable, and efficient across the company. In this role, you will Design and build continuous deployment and rollout infrastructure that safely ships changes across Snowflake’s large-scale, multi-cloud production environment. Build and evolve platform capabilities for progressive delivery, including staged rollouts, canarying, automated health checks, rollback controls, and guardrails that reduce blast radius during production change events. Altana is the network for trusted trade. Our AI-powered product network empowers governments and businesses to build a more resilient and secure global economy while keeping trade flowing. The Opportunity at Altana The Engineering team is responsible for building out the product for bringing this vision to life. We are creating a platform fundamentally driven by AI, which scales to a massive trove of data, and a diverse customer base; it is a complex system that will stretch engineering in many directions. Shipping products that customers actually adopt, not just products that ship, takes a particular kind of engineering practice. It means starting inside the customer’s workflow rather than at the ticket. It means treating every release as a hypothesis you can prove or disprove. It means reaching for AI as a primary building block, not a feature you bolt on at the end. And it means owning a product end‑to‑end, from the first conversation through the telemetry six months later. As a Senior Engineer at Altana, that’s the work and you’ll lead others doing it. You’ll embed with product and design, get on calls with users, form hypotheses about where the real pain is, and lead a small team turning those hypotheses into shipped, adopted products. You’ll measure your work in customer outcomes, not commits. You Will Spend real time with customers. Sit alongside them in their workflows, watch where they get stuck, and translate what you learn into product bets your team is willing to ship behind. Partner with the product team to decide what to build, not just how . Form hypotheses about customer value, design the smallest experiment that could prove them out, and learn fast. Push back on briefs that aren’t grounded in evidence. Take new product surfaces from 0 to 1. Pitch, prototype, ship, and drive adoption with real users. You are as fluent in “did this land?” as you are in “is this maintainable?” Build AI‑native by default . LLMs, agents, evals, r
