Lead exploratory and concept work, creating a range of distinct visual directions for the next generation of the product. Synthesize product context, research, references, and stakeholder input into clear visual principles and a coherent point of view. Establish the quality bar for typography, color, composition, iconography, imagery, motion, and visual expression across the platform. Create high-fidelity product exemplars and prototypes that make an emerging direction tangible. Partner deeply with Brand, Product Design, Motion, and Design Systems to test and refine the direction across different surfaces. About the Role We are looking for Senior and Staff Software Engineers to build the mobile web experience for Dots. You will create responsive, accessible interfaces that let people start work, follow progress, and guide their agents from a phone or browser. You will help establish interaction patterns for ongoing, asynchronous work and make sophisticated agent capabilities feel clear and approachable. In this role, you will: Design and ship mobile web experiences for creating tasks, reviewing agent activity, and providing feedback or direction. Build interfaces that handle streaming updates, long-running tasks, interrupted sessions, and changing connectivity. Improve responsiveness, loading performance, accessibility, and usability across screen sizes and browsers. Partner with design and product to prototype interaction patterns that give users visibility and control over agent actions. Work with backend and full stack engineers on APIs, client state, and reliable synchronization between the interface and agent services. The Team + The Role The Pendo for Agents team builds Pendo's AI and agent product area, a large greenfield surface where much of the architecture is being defined as the team builds. This team operates at the center of a fast-moving product space where engineering decisions shape both the customer experience and the technical foundation for future scale. As Senior Manager, Engineering, you will own technical direction for Pendo for Agents end to end and be fully accountable for delivery, engineering quality, and the talent pipeline. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Staff and Principal engineers, and adjacent Engineering leaders to make high-quality architecture decisions, guide execution, and grow a team that can move quickly without over-building. This role is based in our New York City office. What this looks like day-to-day Team leadership: Lead, coach, and manage a team of approximately four engineers today, with the role growing into ownership of two teams as the product area scales. You will support onboarding, professional development, and the growth of strong individual contributors and emerging technical leaders.
