Job description

TaylorMade Golf is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a dynamic finance team in a high-visibility role within a prominent global brand. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this role spans U.S. and Canada federal and state income tax, gross receipts taxes, withholding taxes, and unclaimed property — a rare opportunity to build multi-jurisdictional expertise. It combines technical tax concepts with hands-on accounting operations and the judgment to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with external advisors, serving as a point of contact to deliver timely, accurate estimates, extensions, and filings for U.S. and Canadian tax matters.
  • Prepare and review monthly and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax analyses, book-to-tax differences and permanent/temporary differences.
  • Identify and track unclaimed property exposure and coordinate escheatment due diligence and filings by partnering across departments to strengthen controls and processes.
  • Analyze and reconcile tax related general ledger accounts monthly.
  • Serve as point of contact for tax audits/notices, and work with auditors and other TaylorMade departments to provide accurate, timely information and minimize company risk.
  • Monitor changes in tax law, assess impacts, and proactively communicate risks and opportunities to management.
  • Support the continued evolution of tax processes, including the use of technology, AI, and data to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, purchase accounting tax inputs, and post-transaction integration.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex tax concepts, and present analyses and recommendations to management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax laws and ASC 740 tax accounting, demonstrating deep understanding of C Corporation tax principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Fast learner with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills who identifies and prevents errors.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrates a sense of urgency and commitment to managing multiple priorities and deadlines and
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, synthesize data from multiple sources, and develop tax solutions in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency in Word. Experience working in various software systems e.g. Oracle.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Master’s Degree in Taxation or Accounting, or CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of income tax experience with strong emphasis on C-corporations.
  • Oracle and AI experience is a plus.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
  • Frequent travel may be required.

TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
