The Brokerage Infrastructure team owns our platform — Robinhood's tier zero, mission-critical service responsible for all order processing, account management, and platform availability during the moments that matter most. Our systems handle millions of transactions per second across high-volume market events, and our reliability is non-negotiable! We are a team of 10+ engineers, with a culture of deep ownership, engineering rigor, and relentless focus on correctness and scale. We're looking for a Staff Level Engineer to step into a high-visibility leadership role at a pivotal moment for the platform. In this role, you'll define the technical vision, lead modernization initiatives and set the reliability bar across Robinhood's most critical infrastructure. You'll manage a team of 10+ engineers at various levels, own cross-team stakeholder relationships, and drive the engineering excellence that keeps our systems running at scale! The Robinhood Command Center (RCC) is a newly formed reliability team that serves as the front line for detecting, coordinating, and mitigating production incidents across Robinhood. As part of Robinhood’s broader reliability initiative, RCC works closely with product engineering, reliability, observability, infrastructure, and business teams to reduce customer impact and shorten incident duration. As a Staff Senior Engineer, you will be part of the founding RCC team, helping define how Robinhood responds to and learns from incidents at scale. This is a highly visible role focused on incident leadership, operational excellence, and reliability tooling. You will not own product services or core infrastructure, but you will own the processes and tools that enable fast, high-quality incident response. The org spans four major teams: DevX (Developer Experience), TestX (Test Infrastructure), Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform. DevX owns Robinhood's monorepo and Bazel-based build infrastructure — the critical layer between a developer writing code and that code being ready to ship — along with the company's full CI/CD pipeline and remote build execution cluster. The AI Platform & Agentic Apps team builds the agent platform behind every AI agent at Robinhood. Today it gives a growing number of engineers and employees an AI teammate that ships code, queries data, and runs operational workflows on their behalf. These agents don't just answer questions — they're designed to take real action across carefully curated meta harnesses. This is agentic AI at real scale, in a regulated financial environment, and it will change how Robinhood works! As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer on the AI Platform & Agentic Apps team, you will design and build the harness that every agent at Robinhood runs on. A critical part of the role is making those agents trustworthy at scale: trajectory-level evals that measure how an agent reasons and acts, and action guardrails — permission models, approval gates, and sandboxing — built as platform primitives that other teams adopt. You'll be a technical anchor on a growing, high-caliber team, collaborating with product, infrastructure, and fellow ML engineers to take ambitious ideas from
