About the role As a Strategic Deals Lead, you will shape and execute Anthropic's partnerships with the hyperscalers and cloud service providers that supply the compute we train and serve frontier models on. As Anthropic scales its infrastructure footprint, you will originate, structure, negotiate, and close the deals that put that strategy into effect — securing large-scale compute capacity and, increasingly, shaping how Anthropic's models are distributed, priced, and sold through those same partners' platforms Securing that infrastructure at scale requires cultivating strong partnerships across the hyperscaler and cloud service provider ecosystem — partnerships that cut across compute, go-to-market, and product teams. These relationships span multi-year compute commitments, financing structures, model availability on the partner's platform, co-selling and marketplace arrangements, and joint go-to-market motions. You will be the person who connects those threads: working with engineering and infrastructure teams to understand what compute Anthropic needs, and with product, go-to-market, finance, and legal teams to make sure the commercial and distribution terms we agree to reinforce rather than constrain each other. We are looking for people who combine a deep understanding of cloud and AI infrastructure with strong strategic judgment, financial acumen, and the negotiating skill to close complex agreements at the terms and timelines Anthropic requires. The Role: We're seeking a Revenue Operations Manager with a strong track record, a builder's mindset, and a bias for action to join our in-person team in New York or SF. This is a high-impact, hands-on role. You'll own the entire revenue operations function, from top-of-funnel lead routing through deal close and commission administration. You'll work closely with our Head of Finance & People Ops and sales leadership to build the systems, dashboards, and processes that scale our go-to-market motion. Within Finance, the Technical Revenue team partners with Product, Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, Growth, Legal, Deal Desk, GTM, Strategic Finance, Revenue Accounting, and Finance Systems to enable scalable, audit-ready monetization. We advise on commercial and contract design, establish defensible accounting positions under ASC 606, and translate those conclusions into repeatable processes, systems, controls, and reporting. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Revenue Recognition to lead revenue strategy and technical accounting for OpenAI’s strategic commercial deals. Reporting to the Head of Technical Revenue, you will serve as the primary revenue advisor for large, bespoke, and non-standard deals outside OpenAI’s standard product and service offerings. Your portfolio may include strategic collaborations, cloud marketplaces, platform and distribution deals, licensing and revenue-share models, joint go-to-market initiatives, research collaborations, and other emerging commercial structures. You will engage early in the deal lifecycle to help shape commercially viable, accounting-compliant, and operationally scalable outcomes. You will establish the accounting posture, identify required contract and product terms, define reporting and control requirements, and ensure that deal economics, billing flows, and revenue recognition remain aligned as the business evolves. This role requires strong technical accounting judgment, commercial fluency, executive communication, and the ability to create clarity and ownership in areas where precedent may not yet exist.
