The Role Mach Energetics is seeking a Propulsion Test Technician to support the development, integration, and testing of next-generation propulsion and energetic systems for advanced defense applications. In this role, you will work directly on propulsion hardware and test infrastructure that enable rapid development, validation, and deployment of mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain propulsion test stands and associated ground support equipment, including high-pressure gas systems (GN2, GHe), pneumatic systems, and hydraulic infrastructure. Assemble, integrate, and test propulsion hardware including rocket engines, valves, regulators, feed systems, tubing, and propellant lines for development and qualification testing. Execute proof pressure, burst, leak, and flow testing procedures to validate propulsion hardware performance and structural integrity. Install, route, and calibrate instrumentation including pressure transducers, thermocouples, load cells, and other sensors used during propulsion test operations. Interface with data acquisition (DAQ) systems to support test setup, sensor verification, and collection of accurate test data during operations. Support hot-fire and cold-flow test campaigns

Description As a technician, you play an important role in the testing of Dawn's satellite propulsion hardware and will carry out a range of specialist tasks in our workshop and cleanroom facilities. All systems are assembled, integrated and tested in-house in our Delft office and delivered to customers across the world. Responsibilities Execution of tests such as leak tests, pressure tests, environmental tests, hot fire, etc Preparation and execution of hardware tests at component- and (sub)system level, independently or with support from other AIT team members. Handling of measurement equipment and operating test setups. Complete test reports and analyze test data. Collaborate with engineering and quality to ensure all production data is accurate and complete. Required Qualifications Experience with pressurised systems and pressure testing equipment (e.g. pressure regulators). Either fluidic or hydraulic systems. Experience with basic measurement tools such as multimeters and pressure gauges. Ability to read and follow test procedures. Ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments as well as autonomously. Adapting to change quickly and positively. Ability to follow and enforce basic safety procedures. You are fluent in English You have a vocational or higher professional education background, equivalent to the Dutch MBO or HBO level. Desired Qualifications Experience with propulsion (sub)systems, other satellite subsystems or experience from similar fields like aircraft assembly/maintenance and high-tech. Working in a geographically widespread team. Experience working in controlled environment such as cleanrooms.
