Senior Compute Platform Engineer, LSF — 2 Locations. Apply via Workday.
About the Role: We're hiring Senior and Staff Data Platform Engineers to join the Data Infrastructure teams in Toronto. Together these teams own the infrastructure that processes billions of events per day: Spark-on-Kubernetes, Flink and Kinesis pipelines, a multi-petabyte Delta Lake, a large-scale MemoryDB feature store, Databricks multi-environment operations, and the catalog and lifecycle systems that govern it. The team is small and senior. Each engineer owns major platform components: you design it, build it, and support it in production. This is a hybrid-role based out of our Toronto office. You must be willing to travel to our Toronto office two days/week. What You'll Do: Spark-on-Kubernetes — EKS-based compute platform for Spark workloads: cluster configuration, Pod Identity IAM, job environment setup, Kustomize overlays, and shadow canary validation Event ingestion — Rust services and Flink jobs processing billions of events per day over Kinesis; throughput, reliability, on-call response, and AI-assisted operational tooling to reduce toil Platform infrastructure — Terraform modules for environment provisioning, cross-account AWS IAM, ARC runner infrastructure, and CI/CD for data platform changes Feature store and ML compute — Flink-based real-time feature pipelines feeding a large-scale MemoryDB cluster; GPU capacity governance and Databricks multi-environment operations for ML training workloads Workflow orchestration and CDC — Airflow-based DAG deployment, ch
About the Team ChatGPT relies on a large and growing GPU fleet to serve inference workloads reliably and efficiently. Our team builds the software, tooling, and operational systems that help manage this fleet at scale. We work across production engineering, distributed systems, capacity management, and operational automation to improve reliability, reduce manual work, and make better use of available compute. About the Role We are looking for a software engineer with experience building or operating large-scale production systems. You will develop the systems that help manage the GPU fleet powering ChatGPT, including tooling for fleet health, capacity planning, operational automation, and incident response. You will work closely with infrastructure, research, and product engineering teams to improve reliability, developer productivity, and compute utilization. This role is a good fit for engineers who enjoy solving complex operational problems and building software that makes production infrastructure easier to run at scale. In This Role, You Will Build software and internal tools to manage large-scale GPU infrastructure supporting ChatGPT inference. Develop systems for capacity planning, fleet health monitoring, and resource utilization. Automate operational workflows, including incident detection, diagnosis, and response. Identify and address bottlenecks affecting fleet reliability, scalability, and performance. Partner with infrastructure, research, and product engineering
About Hark Hark is an artificial intelligence company building advanced, personalized intelligence. One that is proactive, multimodal, and capable of interacting with the world through speech, text, vision, and persistent memory. We're pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. While today's AI largely operates through chat boxes and decade-old devices, Hark is focused on what comes next: agentic systems that interact naturally with people and the real world. To get there, we're developing multimodal models and next-generation AI hardware together - designed from the ground up as a single, unified interface for a new era of intelligent systems. About the Role We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff, Infrastructure Compute to lead and manage large-scale GPU computing clusters powering our AI training and deployment workloads. You'll work at the intersection of systems engineering and machine learning infrastructure, owning the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the compute platform that our research and engineering teams depend on. This is a high-impact, highly technical role suited for someone who thrives in complex distributed systems environments and cares deeply about infrastructure as a product. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices to enable repeatable, auditable, and scalable cluster provisioning. Enhance and harden CI/CD deplo
About the Role We are seeking a platform engineer to join our Compute team. This team owns the critical systems that power project provisioning, scaling, and the compute that our users rely on every day. You’ll work on the core platform that ensures Supabase can seamlessly scale across multiple regions, handle high-volume workloads, and provide low-latency, highly available compute services. You'll design, build, and operate systems that are both robust and highly automated — enabling us to provision new projects reliably at scale, optimize resource utilization, and deliver a seamless experience to the millions of databases which we manage. What You’ll Be Responsible For: Help build and maintain the Supabase Cloud offering; Design and implement systems to provision, scale, and manage the multi-region compute workloads powering Supabase projects; Own the full lifecycle of compute orchestration: project creation, warm pools, autoscaling, resizing, and resource optimization; Improve automation and observability across the compute stack to ensure high availability and performance; Improve our system architecture to reduce costs while balancing security, reliability, and performance; Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to help leverage compute as a core platform offering; Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews; Resolve escalated support issues, while also identifying and resolving systemic issues across the platform. You Might Be
About Supabase Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth. About the Role We are seeking a platform engineer to join our Compute Capacity team. This team owns the capacity plan that keeps compute supply ahead of demand across every region we operate in — the forecasting, buffer policy, and provisioning systems that make sure a project never runs into a wall it didn't know was there. You'll work on the systems that turn a capacity plan into provisioned reality: reservation acquisition, fleet reconciliation, and the automation that keeps what we've committed to in sync with what we're actually running. You'll help build the metrics and alerting that let capacity problems surface months out, on vendor lead time, rather than at the moment someone needs the room. You'll design, build, and operate systems that are both robust and highly automated — helping us hold the right buffer at the right cost, catch drift before it becomes a shortage, and give every team a single, trustworthy view of how much room we have across the millions of databases we manage. What You'll Be Responsible For Help build and maintain the capacity plan that keeps Supabase's compute supply ahead of demand across regions and instance families Support buffer policy by modeling headroom targets and
Senior Software Engineer - Analytics Compute Platform Team About the Role & Team Every chart, insight, and experiment result a customer sees in Amplitude passes through the compute layer that this team owns. Our team sits between Amplitude's front-end analytics products/ rest APIs/ MCPs and Nova, our proprietary analytics database, and owns the compute API that translates a user's question into a fast, correct answer. Our mandate: enable a highly performant, reliable, and flexible way to compute insights. Those three goals are often in tension the more flexible we make the system, the harder it is to keep it fast and simple, and a lot of the interesting engineering work on this team lives in that tradeoff. Day to day, you'll work closely with engineers on data management, marketing analytics, Session Replay, Experiment, CDP, Query, and various product teams, since they're all consumers of what we build. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will Design and build core parts of the query/compute engine that powers analysis across Amplitude's product suite Evolve the compute API and semantic layer that other engineering teams build features on top of, so that it can support a more generic table Help unify and evolve our core data model, including how non-event data (profile properties, lookup tables, etc.) is represented alongside event data Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of query planning and execution on the Amplitude query engine Partner with teams acr
