Role Description We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead the team responsible for Dropboxβs underlying data foundations that power our business as a whole. This is a hands-on engineering leader who owns the pipelines and data products that Product, GTM, Finance, and the CTO organization depend on to make decisions. In this role, you will lead and grow a team of data engineers building and operating our ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and serving layers, as well as the self-serve analytics substrate that lets partner teams answer their own questions without bespoke engineering work. The ideal candidate is a deeply technical, product-minded engineering leader who can hold a high bar on system reliability and data quality while partnering closely with Data Science, Business Intelligence Engineering, Analytics, and Product to turn fragmented, ticket-driven data work into durable, reusable data products. Our Engineering Career Framework is viewable by anyone outside the company and describes whatβs expected for our engineers at each of our career levels. Check out our blog post on this topic and more here . Responsibilities Data Quality & Observability: Establish and enforce a rigorous data quality culture: lineage, freshness monitoring, anomaly detection, and outcome-oriented, gaming-resistant quality metrics. Self-Serve Platform: Lead the engineering of the self-serve analytics substrate, reducing bespoke request volume and increasing partner-team autonomy. Cost & Efficiency: Own the unit economics of the data platform β compute and storage efficiency β and drive measurable improvements without sacrificing reliability. Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner deeply with Data Science, BIE, Analytics, Product, Data Platform, and the CTO org to define the semantic layer, modeling standards, and data contracts that make downstream work trustworthy and fast. Engineering Culture: Establish rigorous engineering practices

Razorpay is one of Indiaβs leading full-stack financial technology companies, powering the way businesses move, manage, and grow money. Founded in 2014 by Harshil Mathur and Shashank Kumar with a simple vision - to simplify payments for Indian businesses - weβve since grown into a fintech powerhouse driving Indiaβs digital payment revolution. Razorpay powers millions of businesses with a smarter, scalable stack that goes beyond transactions to help them truly build and grow. From building AI-native agentic payments, to AI-assisted fraud detection and real-time risk intelligence to automated reconciliation, smart payouts, and predictive financial insights, we are embedding intelligence across our stack to make money movement faster, safer, and more efficient. In close collaboration with ecosystem partners - including banks, networks, regulators - we are pioneering industry-first solutions that are shaping the next era of fintech Across India, Singapore and Malaysia, our products span everything from seamless checkouts to payroll automation - powering a fintech ecosystem thatβs redefining how money moves across Asia. Today, that ecosystem supports everyone from early-stage startups to some of Indiaβs largest enterprises, enabling them to accept, process, and disburse payments at scale while expanding into new ways of managing money more efficiently. Our scale speaks volumes: Razorpay processes $180+ billion in annualized transactions, powering leading businesses like Airbnb, Facebook, WhatsApp, Airtel, CRED, BookmyShow, Zomato, Swiggy, Lenskart, Mirae Asset Capital markets, Indian Oil, National Pension Scheme - and over 100 of Indiaβs unicorns. We are backed by global investors including GIC, Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA), Tiger Global, Ribbit Capital, Matrix Partners, MasterCard, and Salesforce V
About the Team OpenAIβs mission is to ensure that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity. The Engineering Acceleration team builds products that multiply the effectiveness of OpenAIβs technical teams, helping engineers, researchers, and product teams understand complex systems, learn from what they ship, and operate reliably at scale. As AI changes how software is built, we have an opportunity to rethink engineering workflows from first principles. Weβre creating tools and shared systems that turn complex data, experimentation, and technical workflows into clear decisions and useful action. About the Role In this role, youβll lead design across two connected product areas: a real-time data exploration and observability experience for investigating large-scale system and product behavior, and an experimentation platform for safely launching changes, measuring their impact, and deciding whether to ramp, iterate, or roll back. This is more than a dashboard-design role. Youβll define the interaction models that take someone from a vague question or unexpected signal to a trustworthy answer and clear next step. Youβll work closely with engineers, researchers, data scientists, and product teams to understand the mechanics of their work and make dense technical systems coherent without flattening the details that matter. Youβll also help establish greater consistency across OpenAIβs enterprise and internal tools, developing durable patterns that support AI-native workflows and enable other designers to build more effectively. This role is based in our Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA offices. We offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Lead end-to-end design for data-intensive products used by engineers, researchers, and product teams. Shape the complete learning loop: instrument, launch, observe, investigate, evaluate, decide, and iterate. Create clear, high-craft workflows for querying, filtering, comparison, drill-d
