Role Summary Scale builds AI applications for organizations where reliability, security, and measurable results matter. Our core platform, SGP, gives teams the capabilities to build, deploy, evaluate, and operate those applications in customer environments. We're looking for a product leader to own the strategy and roadmap for SGP's core platform and lead the PM team responsible for it. You will work with customers, platform engineering, and forward deployed teams to build capabilities customers need, productize work developed in the field when it has broader value, and improve how teams build, deploy, and operate AI applications. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will connect work across teams into a coherent product, make difficult scope and investment decisions, and stay close enough to the details to know whether what we ship works for the people using it. What you'll do Own the platform strategy and roadmap. Prioritize across developer experience, capabilities customers need, and productizing work built in the field where it has broader value. Sequence investments against customer value, commitments, and dependencies. Define how the product should work. Work with users and engineers to write clear requirements and vibe code prototypes, user journeys, and measure success through customer outcomes, capability adoption, delivery time, and production performance, and follow through on gaps after launch. Align teams across the business. Work with platform engineering, forward deployed PMs, and business leaders to agree on shared capabilities, rollout priorities, and necessary differences across environments. Make clear what is available, where it works, and what remains to be delivered. Build and lead a strong PM team. Establish clear ownership across related product areas, hire and coach PMs, and raise the quality of product thinking and written requirements. Stay directly involved in the most consequential decisions. What we're looking for A track record of

We’re building a world of health around every individual — shaping a more connected, convenient and compassionate health experience. At CVS Health®, you’ll be surrounded by passionate colleagues who care deeply, innovate with purpose, hold ourselves accountable and prioritize safety and quality in everything we do. Join us and be part of something bigger – helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time. Position Summary CVS Health is looking for an Executive Director of Architecture to lead a team driving broad technical initiatives across multiple CVS Health portfolios — all in pursuit of a unified set of technology capabilities. We're hunting for a rare species: an architecture leader who thinks in systems but dreams in possibilities. You're the kind of person who gets bored drawing boxes and arrows the "correct" way and instead asks why the boxes exist at all. You can sketch wild, unconventional ideas with engineers one minute, then walk into a room of executives and translate them into business outcomes the next — without losing nuance, just real clarity. You're fluent in the bleeding edge — not because it's trendy, but because you're genuinely curious what's coming next and you've already been tinkering with it. You lead teams not by hovering, but by making people want to build something ambitious with you. This isn't your typical architecture team, and that's the point. We're not a group of theorists sketching diagrams from a tower somewhere above the actual work — we're builders who happen to also think in systems. We prototype, we get our hands dirty with bleeding-edge tech, and we measure our ideas by whether they actually
About Us: AI needs a new infrastructure layer. We're building it at Modal. Every era of computing brought new workloads that previous infrastructure couldn't support: mainframes, databases, and the cloud. Each time, the company that rebuilt the layer underneath defined the decade. AI is no different, except it touches everything instead of one slice, and the window to build the layer underneath it is open right now. Our customers include category-defining companies like Lovable , Ramp , Cognition, DoorDash, and Suno. They rely on Modal for instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage, so it's simple to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We recently raised a $355M Series C at a $4.65B valuation, led by General Catalyst and Redpoint Ventures. We've crossed $300M+ ARR and grown fivefold since September. Our team includes creators of popular open-source projects (e.g., Seaborn , Luig i ), academic researchers, international olympiad medalists, and experienced engineering and product leaders with decades of experience. The Role: We are looking for strong engineers with experience and interest in designing, building, and maintaining the novel, high-performance systems that make up our serverless platform. Specifically, you'll be working on Modal's machines layer: the fleet of bare metal and cloud hosts that every Function, Sandbox, and training job runs on, and the control plane that provisions, images, monitors, and repairs them. You'll automate the integration of new capacity from a growing set of hardware providers; from auditing and benchmarking hosts and clusters, to maintaining our machine images, configuring GPUs, RDMA, networking, and storage, and getting machines into production. You'll build the automation that keeps the fleet healthy without human intervention: detecting bad GPUs, thermals, and disks. You'll dig into whatever is between the hardware and the software that runs on

You'll make cold starts feel local when the data is hundreds of milliseconds away, designing the caching, preloading, and peer-to-peer layers that hide object-store latency and keep public ingress off saturated uplinks. You'll own durability and cost at petabyte scale, from streaming and batch replication between origins, to garbage collecti
