Altana is the network for trusted trade. Our AI-powered product network empowers governments and businesses to build a more resilient and secure global economy while keeping trade flowing. The Role: Vertical Technology Lead, Policy & National Security Altana’s mission is to power a new era of globalization organized around trusted networks. Nowhere is that mission more consequential — or more demanding — than in the policy and national security community, where the questions our customers bring us are matters of sovereignty, security, and how a nation understands the networks it depends on. These are the hardest programs we run. The technical bar is high and it keeps rising: the biggest opportunities are won, kept, and expanded on the strength of the technical work itself — sometimes on technical capability alone. As these engagements grow, so does the machinery large government partners expect from a serious partner: program management, delivery cadence, contractual rigor, accreditation. Left unmanaged, that machinery swamps the very people whose job is to architect and build. We’re changing how we deliver so it doesn’t. Large and strategic accounts are staffed with dedicated Implementation Delivery Managers (IDMs) who carry the program, project, and delivery-management load — and, as an account grows more complex, we trade up the team to meet it. That frees the technical leadership of the vertical to do what only it can do: hold the architecture bar, win the technical argument, and drive the last mile of product where the mission needs something that doesn’t exist yet. As Vertical Technology Lead for Policy & National Security, you own the technical outcomes for the vertical end-to-end. You are the senior technical counterpart to the vertical’s commercial leadership — setting the technical approach that wins business, owning the solution architecture and delivery that turns wins into mission outcomes, and leading the team that does the work. This is a UK-b

Position Overview Our customers are at the forefront of some of the most interesting data in the world, using SingleStore to push the boundaries every day. To do this well, they leverage the expertise of our Support Engineering Team, composed of technical subject matter experts on the frontlines of critical customer issues. This Support Engineering role skews far more towards engineering than typical technical support as you will need to delve into database internals and memory allocators, investigate Linux and host-related configurations, and diagnose SQL query behavior, all in the name of resolving complex database issues. Our Support Engineers are constantly learning a wide range of customer systems and technical concepts and are thrilled by the new and exciting challenges that they encounter on a regular basis. To accurately identify the source and solution of an issue, this team will take the time to learn about the customer’s business and systems while helping to improve their fundamental SingleStore and database operational knowledge. This often requires additional research and time spent on learning new technologies and tools outside of SingleStore while also being deeply engaged with multiple departments including development teams, query performance engineering, product management, infrastructure SREs, etc. Required Hours: Monday to Friday US West Coast (09:00 AM - 06:00 PM PST) What you'll do: Provide email and live technical support to our enterprise customers, acting as the first line of defense for complex technical issues, bug diagnosis, or resolving critical outages. Identify and reproduce product issues, perform QA, and submit formal bug reports or feature requests to the appropriate Engineering team. Collaborate closely with software developers, sales engineers, and technical account managers to keep all teams up to date with current issues a customer may be facing. Work to streamline and improve various Support and Engineering processes and tools,

Altana is the network for trusted trade. Our AI-powered product network empowers governments and businesses to build a more resilient and secure global economy while keeping trade flowing. The Opportunity The rules of global trade are being rewritten in real time. Supply chain transparency requirements are being rewritten; Forced labor enforcement, semiconductor export controls, tariff volatility, secure procurement for defense, allied coordination on economic security all require a new paradigm. Governments around the world are being asked to do something they've never been equipped to do: understand, monitor, and act on the full depth of global commerce, not just the edge of it. To do so they need a deep understanding of the entire production history and to collaborate with the private sector in new ways to ensure compliant trade is facilitated, while questionable activity is identified. The tools haven't kept pace with the mandate. Customs agencies still orient around transactions and rely on paper-based trusted trader audits, defense resilience was built for a different era of acquisition and slower innovation, and agencies don’t have the tooling nor data to do fact based policy research. The result is a widening gap between what governments need to know and what they can actually see — a gap that bad actors exploit, that allies can't easily close together, and that legitimate traders pay for in delays, uncertainty, and compliance overhead. Altana exists to close that gap. As Director of Product Management for Public Sector , you will lead the team defining how governments harness the power of the Altana network — not just to enforce at the border, but to understand the full complexity of global supply chains, collaborate with allies, and shape the trade policy and economic security decisions that will define the next era of globalization. You’ll oversee our three public sector product areas, and coordinate across the broader Altana organizatio

That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
