The Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility instrumentation, automation, and control systems that support critical manufacturing operations. This includes maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, upgrading, and commissioning instrumentation and PLC-based control systems while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and calibration standards. Key Responsibilities Control System Maintenance & Troubleshooting Maintain and repair PLCs, FMCS systems, analyzers, sensors, transmitters, valves, actuators, and related control equipment. Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance. Diagnose instrumentation, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and control system issues. Analyze alarms, trends, and system data to identify and prevent failures. Support critical utility systems such as UPW, IWTP, CDA, scrubbers, exhaust systems, and chemical delivery systems. Calibration Program Management Perform calibration, verification, adjustment, and certification of instruments. Manage calibration schedules and compliance requirements. Maintain calibration standards, equipment, records, and asset databases (e.g., SIMCO). Support audits and ensure traceable calibration documentation.
