About the Role We're looking for a FinOps Data Engineer to help drive cost optimization and cloud financial governance across our AWS infrastructure and GCP footprint. You'll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, and Product to find and ship savings, build the tooling necessary to maximize efficiency of every dollar spent in the cloud, and cultivate a culture of cost awareness across engineering teams. This role owns the data side of that mission: the models, pipelines, and analysis that make cost, usage, and margin numbers trustworthy across the company. This is a hands-on engineering role, not an analyst seat. You'll do the schlep work other teams don't have time for, digging into a bucket's access pattern, writing the dbt model or Python pipeline that ships the fix, building the cost-vs-revenue mart that answers a margin question once instead of every time, and chasing a number until it reconciles. Strong communication matters as much as technical depth, you'll regularly explain a savings case or a data model's implications to an engineering team, a finance stakeholder, and a leadership audience in the same week. What You'll Be Responsible For In this role, you'll: Find and ship savings across AWS and GCP: Analyze billing, usage, and cost trends to identify opportunities, rightsizing, storage lifecycle policies, data transfer, and spot/auto-scaling. Take ideas from identification through to a realized dollar figure, not just a recommendation. Build and maintai

About the Role Redwood is scaling public cloud infrastructure and AI features across multiple product lines, and we need a FinOps Lead to bring rigor, visibility, and accountability to that spend. This is a senior individual-contributor role with the authority to drive cross-functional cost governance directly. This role owns the translation of raw cloud cost data and AI spent into the models, forecasts, and governance mechanisms that let engineering, product, and executive leadership make informed decisions. This is not a bill-monitoring role. You will build the cost attribution infrastructure that ties cloud/AI spend to specific product lines and, ultimately, to ROI involving architecture and engineering teams to make the right trade offs and decisions in line with the strategic roadmap. The role will report to the Senior Director, Product Engineering Operations, and work closely with Cloud Engineering, the CPO's org, and engineering leadership to create cost visibility and defensibility informing leadership on efficiency strategies. Your ability to be an effective communicator, collaborative team player, and analytical thinker will be keys to success in this role. Responsibilities Cost Visibility, Attribution & Optimization Own and continuously improve cost models that attribute AWS (and other public cloud) spend by product line, team, and environment Drive tagging governance and hygiene, define standards, audit compliance, and close attribution gaps that prevent

PSAs are domain experts who partner with Field teams on complex customer use cases across pre- and post-sales engagements and scale their impact by producing reusable collateral, including reference architectures, technical guides, and enablement assets. Datadog
📍 New York• $192K – $240K/yr

Datadog's Cloud FinOps team answers a question the business runs on: what does each product and each customer actually cost us to serve? Finance uses this team's output to close Datadog's books, Product uses it to compare cost to serve against what a customer pays, and engineering leaders use it to catch cost movements before they compound. As the Engineering Manager for this team, you'll own delivery across the runtime pipeline, coverage onboarding, and cost-to-customer identity mapping. You'll own the contracts that Finance and platform teams depend on. The core engineering problem is reproducibility: every dollar of cloud cost is placed against the product and customer that caused it, with lineage on every result and closed periods that replay exactly. This role starts by closing a coverage gap and grows into owning the model every platform team at Datadog onboards through. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships that it builds, the creativity it brings to the table, and the collaboration of being together. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our employees can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do: Lead and grow a team of engineers building the platform that allocates Datadog's cloud cost to products and customers, setting the operating rhythm across runtime and release, coverage onboarding, and identity and mapping.
