About the Team The Finance & Supply Chain Engineering organization includes two complementary teams. Software Engineering builds internal full-stack applications, durable agentic workflows, plugins, MCPs, and measurable AI-enabled engineering practices. Data Engineering builds trusted analytics data assets for Finance and Supply Chain. The teams have distinct charters, with important shared dependencies and broad cross team partnerships across Engineering, Applications, Finance, and Supply Chain. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on senior technical leader who will report alongside the Software Engineering and Data Engineering managers. This is an individual-contributor role with no immediate people-management responsibility. The Tech Lead will raise the technical bar across both teams, participate in important cross-team or high-risk design decisions, and directly own and ship high-impact work. The role should improve team judgment and autonomy rather than act as a floating architect or universal approval gate. In this role, you will: Partner with the Software Engineering and Data Engineering managers as a peer technical leader; managers retain accountability for people, staffing, priorities, performance, and delivery commitments. Directly own the architecture, implementation, launch, and operation of one or more high-impact initiatives, remaining accountable for real outcomes rather than advisory output alone. Guide important design decisions that are cross-team, difficult to reverse, or material to security, financial controls, reliability, data quality, or long-term cost of ownership. Establish pragmatic engineering standards across architecture, APIs and data contracts, testing, security, reliability, observability, lineage, data quality, and operational ownership. Advance engineering standards for building with AI, including agentic workflows, evaluation, telemetry, adoption, and outcome measurement. Work across backend, full-stack, data, and big-d

We are the Experimentation team at Datadog, a startup operating inside one of the fastest-growing companies in software. The team brings together engineers who joined through Datadog’s May 2025 acquisition of Eppo with engineers from across Datadog, and together we are building feature flagging and experimentation into the platform. Both products were recently launched this year, and we are just getting started: we are migrating customers from Eppo onto Datadog while shipping an ambitious roadmap across both flagging and experimentation. Our statistics engineers hold PhDs and are pushing the boundaries of what an experimentation platform can do. Our full-stack engineers move fast, lean on the latest AI tooling, and prototype and ship new features weekly. We talk to customers directly to shape requirements, and our roadmap is driven by our own product vision and sharpened by real customer and sales input. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team building the Experimentation App. You will own one to two squads to start, partnering closely with our engineers, statisticians, product managers, and designers to turn a deep roadmap into a shipped product. To conform to US export control regulations, candidates should be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government. What You’ll Do: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of strong full-stack and frontend engineers. Help them grow to the next level and continuously provide them opportunities to develop. Applied AI is where Datadog's ambitious AI bets get built and shipped ( Bits Chat , updog ). We sit at the intersection of research and product: turning promising capabilities from Datadog AI Research lab and the research community into production systems that reach real customers. The team builds the foundations for agentic systems capable of operating at scale in complex production environments. Current bets span agents that run autonomously at scale, context and memory layers that make those agents more intelligent over time, and tools that help customers build and validate AI-native services in production. The mandate is to move fast from idea to customer impact, and when a product finds its footing, to set it up for growth. As an Engineering Manager I in Applied AI, you will lead a team of engineers and applied scientists working on one of these challenges. You will define technical direction, run short feedback loops, make deliberate decisions about what to pursue or stop, and work closely with product managers, research teams, and cross-functional partners to ship AI capabilities that matter. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture, the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of engineers and applied scientists focused on building the foundations for agents operating at scale Work closely with product managers, research teams, and cross-functional partners to shape the team's bets from initial framing through to broader adoption, with a clear definition of success criteria at each stage Own end-to-end delivery of high-quality AI systems, from early research exploration to production-grade reliability, with high standards for operational excellence, system reliability, and technical quality Navigate the unique challenges of shipping AI-powered products: balancing quali
