As the Engineering Manager for Commercial Audit, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for scaling Datadog’s security and compliance posture through automation, tooling, and engineering excellence. Our GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) function is a critical partner to the broader Security and Engineering organizations, ensuring that Datadog not only meets rigorous global regulatory standards but does so in a way that is efficient, scalable, and integrated into our cloud-native infrastructure. You will manage a team of engineers and analysts who are transitioning to a GRC engineering direction to treat compliance as a software problem, leveraging AI, custom tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services to turn complex regulatory requirements into actionable, automated controls. You will lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Datadog’s Commercial Audit initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will grow a team of engineers and analysts responsible for directly maintaining our compliance programs and related audits (e.g., SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, ISO) while looking to improve efficiency and effectiveness through platforms and tooling. You will act as a bridge between technical engineering, legal, and compliance, enabling the organization to move fast while maintaining a secure and compliant environment. You will champion a culture of "compliance-as-code," identifying opportunities to automate evidence collection, streamline control testing, and reduce manual toil for both your team and our partner engineering teams. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You’ll Do: Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Datadog’s commercial security compliance efforts, shifting from manual audit processes to automated, scalable

As a Staff Application Security Engineer at Datadog, you'll set technical direction for how we approach application security at scale. You'll define the frameworks, methodologies, and architectural patterns that engineering teams across Datadog adopt and apply independently. You're the person others come to when they don't know how to make something secure, and you reliably have an answer. You'll be a point of contact for our most complex security programs, often spanning multiple teams and multiple quarters. The role requires both depth (going very deep on specific problems when needed) and breadth (recognizing patterns across systems and drawing connections that others miss). Partnering closely with teams inside and outside the security org is key to success. You'll help shape the AppSec roadmap and make the case for where investment should go. We use our own platform. Logs, Dashboards, Service Catalog, and APM aren't just things we sell: they're tools the AppSec team uses to build security services, measure adoption of secure defaults, and communicate risk across the organization. AI is also part of the picture. Engineering at Datadog increasingly uses agentic tooling throughout the development lifecycle, and many of the products we ship to customers now include AI-powered features. Both create new attack surfaces, and defining our strategy for addressing them is part of this role. If using Datadog to observe Datadog's own security posture, building impactful tooling, and shaping how we secure AI-powered systems sounds like the right kind of problem, this role is worth a close look. What You’ll Do: Define and drive security standards and secure-by-default solutions, serving as the Application Security subject matter expert. Build security tooling and automation that scales security practices across engineering teams, and implement robust security observability to support our threat detection team with meaningful, actionable security signals. Lead threat mod

We partner with Product, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and Legal to translate policy and trust commitments into durable architecture and enforceable controls. Our work spans data inventory and mapping, classification and lineage, retention and deletion, access governance, purpose and usage controls, auditability, and lifecycle automation. We aim to make policy-aligned data handling the default while giving teams clear, reliable primitives for building and operating products at scale. About the Role We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to drive the architecture and execution of user data governance across OpenAI. You will define technical direction, build shared platforms and controls, and lead cross-functional programs that make data flows discoverable, policies enforceable, and ownership explicit. About the Team Security is at the foundation of OpenAI’s mission to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. The Security team protects OpenAI’s technology, people, and products. We are technical in what we build but operational in how we execute, and we support every product and research effort at OpenAI. Our tenets include prioritizing for impact, enabling researchers and developers, preparing for future transformative technologies, and fostering a strong, collaborative security culture. About the Role OpenAI is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure Security (InfraSec) team. InfraSec safeguards the core of OpenAI’s research and production environments: GPU supercomputing clusters, multi-cloud infrastructure, datacenters, networking, storage, and the critical services that power our frontier AI models. Our charter spans everything from bare-metal hardware and firmware to Kubernetes clusters, service meshes, and the data pathways that carry highly sensitive model weights and user data. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will set technical direction and drive execution of critical foundational services, such as authentication systems, egress/ingress proxies, access brokers, and key management platforms, that demand high standards of reliability, scalability, and software craftsmanship. These systems form the security backbone of OpenAI’s customer and supercomputing environment and must remain robust under intense scale and adversarial pressure. In this role, you will: Own the architecture and roadmap for one or more core security services (e.g., authN/Z, policy enforcement, secure proxies, key management), taking them from design to rollout to long-term operation. Design and implement planet-scale security systems that provide strong guarantees across hardware, operating systems, Kubernetes, networks, and CI/CD: balancing security, reliability, latency, and developer ergonomics.
