Datadog's Forward Deployed Engineering function is in an active growth phase, and the FDE Lead will play a central role in shaping what comes next. Working in close partnership with the Head of Datadog for Startups and Forward Deployed Engineers, and the existing FDE team, you will help define and expand the FDE framework, build out the structures and processes that allow the team to operate at scale, and extend the program's reach well beyond any single customer segment. This role sits at the rare intersection of sales, execution, program design, and hands-on engineering leadership. You are part field technical leader, part program architect, and part cross-functional connector. You will help determine what the FDE motion looks like at Datadog, contribute to its playbook, and push the boundaries of what the team can deliver. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds, and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You’ll Do: Evolve and scale the FDE operating model end to end: engagement intake, scoping, sprint delivery, handoff back to account teams, and the success metrics (time-to-value, adoption lift, ARR influence, NPS) and reporting infrastructure that support them. Build out a catalog of FDE offerings spanning observability quickstarts, custom integration development, LLM/AI observability accelerators, CI/CD pipeline instrumentation, and cost optimization deep dives, and contribute to their pricing and business models, including free-to-paid conversion plays, paid deployment packages, and post-deployment success motions. Capture product and feature gaps uncovered during deployments, translate them into structured prioritized briefs, and partner with PM and Engineering to strengthen the field-feedback channel that informs roadmap decisions on a regular cadence. Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team Public Goods at Stripe is focused on catalyzing products or services that would improve the world but don’t exist because the commercial motivations aren’t yet sufficient. By characterizing these goods, and altering the incentives, we hope to bring them to market faster. Our two main initiatives— Frontier , a $1.8B advanced market commitment to accelerate carbon removal, and Intercept , an effort to accelerate the elimination of respiratory infections—are partnerships between Stripe and some of the world’s most ambitious organisations, including Google, Anthropic, the OpenAI Foundation, and J.P. Morgan. What you’ll do Stripe is looking for an entrepreneurial netizen to lead communications for our Public Goods programs. The success of Frontier and Intercept will be contingent on building strong networks of support and cooperation in the communities where they operate (researchers, scientists, technologists, healthcare). We’ll need to persuade people and organisations to change course: labs changing their research paths; entrepreneurs quitting their jobs to start something new; funders reprioritising their grant programs. You’ll laser in on the influential voices, and build targeted strategies to shift opinions and behaviours using traditional media, podcasts, video, substackers, influencers, events, and Twitter. You’ll craft compelling messaging on world-altering technologies; announce billions of dollars worth of grants and investments;

About the Team OpenAI is at the center of some of the highest-impact multimodal work in AI. ChatGPT serves a massive global audience, and enables diverse interactions via text, speech, and visuals. As interactive surfaces grow, models also need to adapt to emerging harm, understand user intent and situational context, and respond appropriately. The Chat and Multimodal Safety team is responsible for ensuring that OpenAI’s increasingly multimodal models and products behave safely across these experiences. We develop the research, training methods, and evaluations needed to make these experiences safe. Our work sits at the frontier of responsibly deploying powerful AI, in close partnership with Personal AGI, io, model training, and product teams. About the Role As a Researcher on the Chat and Multimodal Safety team, you will help shape how frontier models perceive and reason the world, and translate that understanding into safe behavior. We’re looking for people who combine deep technical expertise with strong safety judgment. Strong candidates often bridge perception and language: they may have built vision-language models, worked on modality fusion or image encoders, developed multimodal post-training or evaluations, or advanced safety for image, video, or audio systems. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Define and advance multimodal safety research for text, vision, and audio, connecting perception and semantic understanding to safe model behavior. Build training and evaluation methods for VLMs, including post-training, safety evals, and interventions that help models respond safely and appropriately in varied contexts. Collaborate closely with Personal AGI, Consumer Devices, and product/model teams to translate research into safer ambient, embedded, and personalized multimodal experiences. You might thrive in this role if you:

The Cyber vertical turns policy into reviewer standards, calibrated judgment, quality systems, escalation paths, and automation guardrails. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a senior cybersecurity practitioner and operations strategist to raise the quality, scalability, and technical rigor of our Cyber Operations. You will combine hands-on cyber judgment with systems-level operating design: resolve the hardest dual-use questions, evolve SOPs, uplift reviewers and vendors, and build practical tools and automations. This is a senior IC role. Success is not primarily cases closed; it is durable improvement in the operating model and the reviewers who run it. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Drive the Cyber Operations operating model across domain priorities, SOPs, escalation paths, quality health, vendor capability, roadmap inputs and help inform trusted access strategies. Serve as the senior cyber expert for complex or high-risk decisions across ChatGPT, API, Codex, agents, and emerging product surfaces. Translate policy ambiguity, quality misses, appeals, and reviewer disagreement into clear decision rules, calibration examples, training, and tooling requirements. Build durable operating systems and quality loops: golden sets, holdouts, double-labeling, adjudication, error taxonomies, reviewer calibration, and automation evaluations. Raise FTE and BPO capability through onboarding, certification, coaching, recurring calibration, and vendor-performance partnership. Use quality, appeals, SLA, backlog, and disagreement signals to diagnose root causes and prioritize high-leverage fixes.
