You’ll shape the future of a business‑critical platform as the technical lead across both product engineering and cloud infrastructure. You’ll modernize a mature .NET application running on AWS today, while steering its evolution toward a cloud‑native, React/Node.js, AI‑enabled architecture. If you enjoy owning architecture end‑to‑end, from backend and frontend through CI/CD, DevOps, and AWS infrastructure, this role gives you real influence at Staff Engineer level and the opportunity to set engineering standards that others follow. You’ll spend your time leading complex .NET and React features, designing scalable AWS infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code, and building automation that makes releases fast, safe, and repeatable. You’ll work on performance, reliability, and modernization in equal measure—fixing what’s slowing the platform down today and designing what it will look like in the next generation. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff) Lead the architecture and development of enterprise .NET services and APIs that power a business‑critical platform. Design and operate AWS infrastructure (using AWS CDK in TypeScript) to support secure, scalable, multi‑environment deployments. Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Windows build agents) to make shipping .NET and React changes fast and reliable. Drive modernization initiatives across the stack, including clean architecture, refactoring legacy components, and reducing technical debt. Design and tune PostgreSQL and MSSQL database solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability. Mentor engineers and influence engineering practices across teams, raising the bar on cloud, DevOps, and software design. Deep hands‑on expertise with C
Team Frontend within Supabase owns tooling for the marketing/docs website and the core product called “Studio” Its used by millions of developers around the world building insanely cool applications. We live and die by user feedback and relentlessly address issues every day to make the product better! What You’ll Own Ship products 0→1 and then earn the next version from users. You’ll take features from a blank editor to real users in production, then use what you learn (support threads, usage data, direct conversations) to decide what to build next. We want someone who has done this before: launched something, watched real people use it, and improved it on the strength of that feedback rather than a spec handed down from above. Own the quality pipeline, not just the feature. In a world where an agent writes a large share of the code, fast, the CI is what keeps that speed safe. You’ll build and tighten the layered checks that let us move quickly without breaking things: type safety at the boundaries, lint and format, unit and component tests, contract tests against our APIs, accessibility, visual regression, and bundle-size budgets, so a red check tells you (or the agent) exactly what to fix before anything reaches users. Make sure a bug caught once is caught forever. When something slips through, you don’t just patch it. You add the check that would have caught it, at the cheapest stage that can, so the same regression can’t happen twice. Work end-to-end and in the open. Frontend UI, the API contracts it depends on, preview deploys, observability. You’ll operate autonomously across the stack and do it publicly, in a codebase thousands of developers read and contribute to. What You’ll Bring A track record of taking a product from 0→1. You’ve launched something real, put it in front of users, and iterated based on how they actually used it, ideally something you can point us to. Deep frontend fundamentals with strong React. TypeScript and React, plus a real understand
The Team + The Role Our Emerging Team is focused on building AI Products for our product experience (PX) platform. We build from the ground up to explore, prototype, and ship AI-native experiences that change how software teams understand and serve their users. This is not an AI layer added to existing product; it is a deliberate bet on what product intelligence looks like next. The team operates with high autonomy, moves quickly, and builds products without clear precedents. As a Staff Software Engineer (AI), you will sit at the intersection of deep technical capability and strong product judgment. You will design and build production-grade AI systems, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered features, while making clear tradeoffs across prompting, fine-tuning, architecture, evaluation, and deployment. You will also partner closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to frame the right problems and communicate technical decisions clearly. This role is based in our New York office. What this looks like day-to-day Applied AI systems: Design and build AI-native systems, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered product features. You will take ideas from prototype through production and ensure they can support real users. Model strategy: Make principled decisions about when to prompt, when to fine-tune, and when to use a different technical approach entirely. You will explain those tradeoffs clearly to engineers and non-engineers. Evaluation and guardrails: Instrument and evaluate model outputs rigorously by defining evaluation frameworks and identifying hallucinations early. You will implement guardrails that hold up under real-world usage and load. Productionize AI ownership: Own model deployment, monitoring, latency optimization, cost management, and reliability at scale. You will ensure AI systems are observable, performant, and production-ready. Full-stack delivery: Contribute across the stack when needed to get
