About Supabase Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth. About the Role We are looking for a Software Engineer: IaC Platform Experience to join our Interfaces team and own the Terraform provider as a core part of Supabase's developer platform. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the Go codebase behind the Supabase Terraform provider. You will partner with product and engineering leadership on roadmap priorities, drive technical execution, and ensure we ship a reliable, predictable, and well-documented Terraform experience for developers at scale. You will focus on resource behavior, lifecycle correctness, schema evolution, upgrade safety, and practical migration paths for existing users. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and enjoys building practical platform primitives that millions of developers can rely on. What You’ll Own Own the Go Terraform provider codebase, including architecture, implementation quality, test strategy, and release readiness. Improve Terraform provider reliability and ergonomics, including resource behavior, data sources, lifecycle edge cases, and upgrade safety. Drive technical strategy for IaC workflows through design docs, RFCs, and iterative delivery. Build practical migration and interoperability paths for existing Terraform users. Partner with product and engineering leadership in a shared roadmap model to define priorities, scope, and outcomes. Monitor customer feedback, OSS issues, and usage signals to continuously improve the Terraform experience. Create clear documentation and examples that make IaC workflows easier to understand and adopt. What You Bring 5+ years of software engineering experience in developer platforms, infrastructure tooling, or distributed sys
About Supabase Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth. About the Role We're looking for a SDK Engineer - JavaScript to join the SDK team and own a core part of how developers talk to Supabase from JavaScript and TypeScript. Our JS/TS SDKs are the front door to the platform: database queries, auth, storage, realtime subscriptions and edge functions, used by a very large number of developers and by most of the AI coding tools building on Supabase today. This is a library-authoring role, and the work happens in the open: public repos, public issue trackers, and API decisions whose consequences are permanent. The type system here is a design surface rather than a formality. If you get satisfaction from an inference that Just Works, from a migration guide that saves people an afternoon, and from an issue tracker that isn't a graveyard, you'll like it here. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions. What You'll Be Responsible For Build and evolve our JavaScript/TypeScript SDKs. Start new things. Alongside the maintenance work, you're expected to find what's missing, make the case for it, and build it. Some of what we ship next doesn't exist yet, and nobody will hand you the list. Work in the open. These are public repos: you'll triage inbound issues, review and shepherd outside contributions, keep CI and release automation healthy, and hold a clear, kind line on scope. Own the type experience. Keep generated database types flowing correctly through the client APIs so autocomplete and inference stay correct in real codebases. Keep us honest across runtimes. Node, Deno, Bun, browsers, Cloudflare Workers, React Native/Expo, including dual ESM/CJS publishi
What you’ll do Act as the technical lead for large parts of the scanner platform: system architecture, codebase structure, and long-term maintainability. Own core runtime foundations: distributed control, state management, fault handling, and reliability. Drive engineering rigor: testability, code quality, review standards, performance regression prevention, and release processes. Build robust observability: logs, metrics, traces, and replayable diagnostics (with privacy constraints). Collaborate with hardware and recon/ML teams to define interfaces, data contracts, timing/synchronization, and failure modes. Lead complex refactors (e.g., message passing / RPC boundaries, modularization, concurrency model) without halting forward progress. What we’re looking for Deep software architecture experience for real-world systems: robotics, instrumentation, medical devices, or other complex distributed products. Strong Python and concurrency background (asyncio, multiprocessing, profiling, performance engineering). Track record of shipping systems that are observable, debuggable, and resilient. Strong technical leadership: clarity, pragmatic trade-offs, and mentoring. Useful experience Building but rock-solid systems: clear interfaces (gRPC/protobuf or equivalent), strong state modeling, and failure handling. High-leverage engineering habits on a lean team: good tests, CI, reproducible dev environments, and fast code review. Practical performance + concurrency work in Python (asyncio, profiling, multiprocessing) and comfort debugging distributed behavior. Security-minded device software: safe defaults, encrypted data paths, and disciplined handling of PII/PHI. Operational thinking: remote updates/management, excellent logging, and diagnostics that make real hardware debuggable.
