About the Team OpenAI develops models that can reason through complex problems and hardware designed for the demands of advanced AI. AI for Chips connects these efforts: applying increasingly capable AI systems to the work of semiconductor engineering. Our goal is to help engineers develop better chips and shorten design cycles. This work brings research, model training, and hardware expertise together to build tools that engineers can use on real designs, with correctness and measurable performance at the center. About the Role We’re hiring a Research Engineer to help OpenAI models solve chip-design problems through reinforcement learning, tool use, and evaluation. You’ll own experiments from the initial idea through implementation and analysis. That means building environments and evaluations, running training, investigating failures, and using the results to decide what to try next. You’ll also build the software needed to make those experiments reliable and reproducible. We value strong coding fundamentals, careful experimental judgment, and the ability to make progress independently. Prior chip-design experience is helpful, but you can learn the domain alongside the team’s hardware specialists. In this role, you will: Build RL environments and evaluations for tasks such as RTL generation, design verification, and physical design optimization. Develop and test approaches that help models use chip-design tools and improve power, performance, and area while preserving correctness. Design experiments, establish baselines, and measure whether improvements hold up on new tasks and designs. Investigate failures across model behavior, rewards, evaluation tools, and experiment infrastructure. Improve iteration speed through better tooling, faster evaluations, and proxy rewards that reflect the outcomes we care about. Turn successful experiments into reusable research code and training workflows, working closely with researchers and engineers. You might thrive in this ro

About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the role Anthropic's Beneficial Deployments team accelerates the work of organizations doing some of the world's most important under-resourced work: nonprofits, education institutions, scientific researchers, and organizations advancing economic mobility. Research institutions sit at the center of that mission. They produce the science the rest of the world builds on, and they are structurally short on time, budget, and technical capacity to figure out new technology on their own. You will lead our targeted approach to research institutes and research intensive universities globally. Where our scaled motion reaches thousands of organizations one to many, this role is the opposite end of the same ecosystem: a deliberately short list of institutions where depth matters, where a lab, a department, or a whole campus adopting Claude changes what science gets done, and where the buying process runs through provosts, research offices, procurement, grant budgets, and security review. Reach comes first, and commercial results follow from it. That ordering is deliberate and it is shared across every leader on this team: a research institute that adopts Claude to move its science faster is a win on its own terms, and you will be measured on creating that value with the institutions that matter most, not only on pipeline. You are the single accountable owner for the research Enterprise book globally: its target list, its AEs, its numbers, and its field voice inside Anthropic. You are half seller, half domain translator. You will personally run the most complex institutional deals, and you will be credible in a room of scientists and resear
About Karya : Why was Karya on the cover of the Time Magazine , highlighted by Satya Nadella , and chosen by Google as its partner for Project Vaani ? In part, because Karya is on a mission to provide AI enabled earning and learning opportunities to economically underserved communities, thereby building a pathway out of poverty for them. Karya achieves this while also delivering high quality, timely, and price competitive data to its clients. Karya's workers make at least 20 times the Indian minimum wage and through our one-of-a-kind digital work platform, we have delivered over 40 million digital tasks and are poised to positively impact over 100 thousand workers by the end of the year. In the coming years, our goal is to rapidly scale our impact by bringing economic opportunities to millions of underserved users in India. The Role At Karya, we're building AI evaluation systems that measure and understand whether these systems actually work for the communities they're meant to serve. We're looking for a research intern who can bring a social science lens into this work, specifically around evaluating language technologies (speech, text, and translation systems) built for and with Indian communities. You'll be embedded with the Evaluations team within Karya's tech team, which means you'll get a front-row seat to the full arc of AI work happening in India today from how models are built, to how they're tested, to how they land in the hands of rural and economically underprivileged communities. You'll be expected to stay current on AI evaluation science itself, and use your disciplinary training to ask sharper questions about what these systems are actually doing, and to whom. Concretely, this means: Applying social science research methods (qualitative and/or quantitative) to the evaluation of AI/ML systems, particularly language technologies Contribute to developing AI evaluation and testing methodologies Investigating how these technol
About the role As a member of the Research Legal team, you'll advise on legal topics across the full lifecycle of building and studying frontier AI models: data acquisition and use, training pipelines, model evaluation and launch, and alignment, interpretability, model welfare, societal impacts, and beneficial deployments research, as well as Responsible Scaling Policy work on biological risk. You'll be a subject matter expert on copyright, privacy, data use, and AI regulation (including the EU AI Act, U.S. state laws, and emerging global rules), and will work directly with researchers on questions that often have no settled answer. The ideal candidate will have navigated complex legal questions at the intersection of machine learning, data, and academic research in a fast-moving technical environment, with the judgment to work at the cutting edge of AI development while effectively solving issues, enabling innovation, and calibrating risk. This is a uniquely positioned role touching many different facets of AI, presenting the opportunity to be a leader in AI legal thought. Key responsibilities Advise research and data teams on data sourcing, licensing, partnerships, and use, and help shape Anthropic's data acquisition and use strategy as laws and markets evolve Help coordinate regulatory readiness and model launches, review model documentation and system cards, respond to regulatory inquiries, and advise on legal questions for pre-release and internal models Support the Responsible Scaling Policy as applied to biological and chemical risk, including capability evaluations, tiered access for biosecurity researchers, and dual-use
About the role Anthropic's Safeguards organization builds the policies, evaluations, and enforcement systems that keep our models from contributing to catastrophic harm. We are hiring a manager to lead the research engineering team responsible for biological safety: the evaluations, datasets, and classifiers that govern how our models handle biological knowledge. You will lead a team of research scientists and engineers who design and run capability evaluations against frontier models, curate training data for our safety classifiers, train and iterate on those classifiers alongside our ML engineers, and measure how they hold up against adversarial pressure in production traffic. You will set the technical direction for that work, decide where the team invests, and own the results. This is a hands-on management role. Most of your time goes to growing and directing the team, but you will keep enough technical depth to review an eval design, interrogate a classifier's failure modes, and represent the work credibly to Research, Product, and Policy partners. The core tension your team owns is precision: safeguards need to be robust against sophisticated actors while staying out of the way of the far larger population of legitimate researchers using Claude to accelerate life sciences work. Getting that tradeoff right is an empirical problem, and your team is the one measuring it. Key responsibilities Manage, coach, and grow a team of research scientists and engineers working on biological safety evaluations and classifiers, including hiring, onboarding, performance, and career development Set the technical direction and roadmap for the biol
