Join NVIDIA, a company with over 25 years of experience advancing visual technology, personal gaming platforms, and high-performance computing! We have pushed innovation through our innovative technology and talented team. As we expand into AI's vast possibilities, we need a Senior Security Engineer, Architecture Patterns to build the future of computing. In this role, you will be involved in the latest AI developments, uphold security standards, and contribute to powerful projects alongside top talent in Santa Clara, CA. Join us! What you'll be doing: Develop shift-left solutions that embed security standards directly into AI-generated code, ensuring constraints, scaffolds, rules, and guardrails are applied during the coding process rather than post-shipment. Convert written security standards into machine-enforceable formats, enabling programming assistants and pipelines to apply them seamlessly without manual interpretation. Engineer verification workflows that confirm generated code meets claimed standards, providing evidence for downstream release gating and policy enforcement. Maintain and evolve evaluation harnesses, reference repositories, known-bad cases, and encouraged findings to ensure constraint-steered agents produce conformant code amid changing models, patterns, and tooling. Convert approved architecture patterns into secure, runnable reference implementations, such as templates, Helm charts, container images, and worked examples, ensuring their reliability as platforms evolve. Elevate AI solutions from prototypes to enterprise-grade products, focusing on versioning, observability, latency and cost budgets, access control, audit, graceful failure, and a detailed support and deprecation model. Set the enterprise-grade architecture standards for AI tooling in a security context, determining qualification criteria and monitoring adoption and outcomes to ensure effic

About the Team & Role The Platform Security Engineering team builds the security features and frameworks that every Rubrik product runs on protecting hundreds of petabytes of data across thousands of enterprise customers globally , from encryption and certificate management to access control and platform hardening at scale. We're a small team with massive impact: the problem space covers the entire Rubrik portfolio, from performant core backend architecture to the AI-powered engineering workflows we and the rest of Rubrik now build with daily. This is a strong opportunity for new grads and early-career engineers who want real ownership on security-critical systems. You'll help solve problems like: How do we roll out post-quantum cryptography across the backup data path before it's an industry requirement? How do we let customers manage sessions and access against compromise, at enterprise scale? How do we build an access control engine that holds up against dynamic, customer-defined policies unique to a data management platform? How do we secure the AI agents and agentic developer workflows that are now embedded in how Rubrik engineers ship code? You'll work alongside experienced engineers and deeply technical managers who will mentor you as you grow, on a roadmap with genuine business impact. What You'll Do Security feature development Design and steer AI to write clean, well-tested code in Go, Scala, or Python for scalable, secure platform services. Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions. Identify attack surfaces and build solutions to harden Rubrik products. Triage, debug, and drive product/system issues to resolution with clear ownership. Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows as a core part of your daily engineering, while learning to treat AI-generated code as untrusted input that gets the same security scrutiny as any other contribution. We're building the platform that lets long-running autonomous agents operate safely inside NVIDIA's enterprise. These are not assistants on a developer's laptop. They are fleets of agents deployed in the cloud, running continuously at scale on shared accelerated compute. They take on real work across enterprise systems, so people get far more done than they could before. This role defines the constructs that agents are built from: the blueprints they start from, the tools, skills, and plugins that power them against enterprise data, the runtime safety harness that keeps them in bounds, and the connections into credential management, sandbox, memory, and observability. The team designs and ships these building blocks so that agent developers across the company can stand up a new agent, wire it in, and run it for days or weeks. Security and safe execution come out of the box, not something each team has to get right on its own. Today an agent runs inside a single harness. Claude, Codex, and open-source agent harnesses each work differently underneath, with their own execution model, tool interface, and telemetry shape. The platform smooths over those differences, so a single skill, safety policy, or trace works the same no matter which harness is running. We want to enable agents that act on a person's behalf, governed and secure, continuously evaluated and self-improving. These agents coordinate and hand work off to each other, with identity and policy following every hop. They route and tune themselves across harnesses from live eval signals, and get better from their own production telemetry instead of waiting on a human to retrain them. Have you run agents on a harness like Claude or Codex and hit the walls that show up when they run for real, for days, against live systems — and wanted them to learn from it on their own? We're building the platform that solves those problems once, for every team. What you'll b
