We value candidates who have the instinct to spot a "normalized" problem and the AI-native curiosity to create a solution using the latest tools. Our culture is built on iteration, leveraging AI to ship faster today to make it better tomorrow, while ensuring that every improvement, no matter how small, is shared across the team to lift everyone up. If you’re the type of person who values curiosity over bureaucracy, and that AI is a partner in solving tough problems to keep the Internet moving forward, you’ll fit right in. What you'll do Run human-subjects recording sessions end-to-end: participant prep and fitting, sensor configuration and calibration, stimulus delivery, real-time signal monitoring, and session documentation. Own daily system QC for a one-of-a-kind sensing instrument: baseline noise recordings, per-sensor health checks, log review, and escalation of anomalies before they touch a dataset. Own participant operations: recruitment coordination, scheduling, screening, consent, and compliant handling of participant records. Stand up and maintain the operational backbone of the program: SOPs for acquisition, QC, and participant workflows — documentation that survives you. Handle first-pass data operations: file conversion, organization, metadata, and quality review in Python. Partner daily with the program lead to refine acquisition protocols and improve system performance over time. What we're looking for Hands-on experience acquiring physiological or imaging data from human participants in a clinical or research setting Obsessive consistency and attention to detail: you notice when something is off and you don't let it slide. Professional, patient, and calm with research participants — sessions succeed or fail on how people feel in the room. Basic scripting ability (Python and/or shell) for QC and data-handling tasks, or clear aptitude and motivation to build it. High ownership of the unglamorous parts: scheduling, documentation, tidy data hygiene. Discretion — parts of this program are not yet public. We'll walk you through the specifics, including the exact technology you'd be operating, in the first conversation. Useful experience Controlled or low-noise recording environments and highly sensitive instrumentation. Physiological signal-processing tools in Python. Human-subjects research administration (IRB protocols, consent workflows). Research studies involving structured tasks or sensory protocols with human participants.

At Lyft, our purpose is to serve and connect. We aim to achieve this by cultivating a work environment where all team members belong and have the opportunity to thrive. We are looking for an experienced backend software engineer to join our Road Safety & Telematics team. At Lyft, Telematics data is used to make Lyft safer by reducing the frequency and severity of accidents, which in turn also makes Lyft more affordable for riders and a better way to earn a living for drivers. The Telematics team acts as a platform team that processes petabytes of mobile sensor data — millisecond-level IMU, gyroscope, and GPS signals — through a series of DAG-based transformations and ML model inferences to detect harsh driving events and convert them into normalized risk features that other Lyft services consume. Our technology stack runs on AWS, Kubernetes, Spark, and Apache Airflow. In this role, you'll work closely with data scientists, actuarial teams, other backend and data engineers, and product management — partnering across geos to build risk-aware products that rank and reward safe drivers, help off-board unsafe ones, notify drivers in real time, and give claims agents the tools to understand exactly what happened in a ride. You'll also be a key technical partner to our insurance team as they optimize coverage costs and provider relationships. If you are a seasoned engineer with a passion for innovation, high-volume data pipelines, microservices, working in cross-disciplinary environments and possess the skills to ensure the ongoing maintenance and improvement of services, you will thrive on our team! Instawork is on a mission to create meaningful economic opportunities for skilled hourly professionals in communities around the globe. Our AI-powered labor marketplace helps local businesses scale, and enables global technology companies to push the frontiers of robotics and AI. Backed by world-class investors like Benchmark, Spark Capital, Craft Ventures, Greylock, Y Combinator, and others, we’re looking for exceptional talent to reimagine the way the world works. Location : Bengaluru (On-site) + multi-city coordination Instawork Robotics Lab (IRL) Robots are getting smarter, but they still can’t reliably do the everyday physical tasks people do — chopping vegetables, stocking shelves, assembling parts. The bottleneck is data. UC Berkeley’s Prof. Ken Goldberg calls it the “100,000-year data gap”: the chasm between the massive text datasets used to train language models and the tiny amount of real-world, physical-dexterity data available to train robots. The entire robotics industry collected only ~100,000 hours of training data in 2024 and ~1 million in 2025 — and even the ~20 million hours projected for 2026 is still less than 0.04% of what is ultimately needed. IRL exists to close that gap. Using Instacore — a wearable multi-camera and sensor system (head, chest, and wrist cameras plus IMUs and a compute pack) — our field teams capture synchronized, high-diversity egocentric data of real people doing real tasks across real commercial environments: kitchens, warehouses, hotels, retail, and light manufacturing. That data is quality-checked, anonymized, and delivered to the world’s leading robotics companies and foundation-model labs to teach robots how to operate in the messy physical world. In India, we run the on-ground engine of this mission — a growing fleet of Instacore rigs, Field Officers and Data Collectors, regional hubs, and the operations and finance backbone that keeps it
