The Team + The Role The Pendo for Agents team builds Pendo's AI and agent product area, a large greenfield surface where much of the architecture is being defined as the team builds. This team operates at the center of a fast-moving product space where engineering decisions shape both the customer experience and the technical foundation for future scale. As Senior Manager, Engineering, you will own technical direction for Pendo for Agents end to end and be fully accountable for delivery, engineering quality, and the talent pipeline. You will partner closely with Product, Design, Staff and Principal engineers, and adjacent Engineering leaders to make high-quality architecture decisions, guide execution, and grow a team that can move quickly without over-building. This role is based in our New York City office. What this looks like day-to-day Team leadership: Lead, coach, and manage a team of approximately four engineers today, with the role growing into ownership of two teams as the product area scales. You will support onboarding, professional development, and the growth of strong individual contributors and emerging technical leaders. Architecture ownership: Own the technical direction for the Pendo for Agents architecture end to end. You will partner with Staff and Principal engineers on build-versus-buy decisions, including when to use existing frameworks and when to build in-house. Delivery execution: Guide prioritization, planning, and execution across the team while maintaining a healthy delivery cadence. You will own delivery commitments across sprint and quarterly planning cycles and hold the team accountable to outcomes. Cross-functional partnership: Partner with Product and Design to deliver high-quality features using Agile development practices. You will align on scope, sequencing, and risk while surfacing engineering constraints early and maintaining trust under pressure. About Us OpenFX is on a mission to move money as freely as data, unrestricted by time zones, banking hours, or legacy systems. We are building the infrastructure that will power the next generation of cross-border payment systems for institutions. The team's execution has been exceptional, and we're scaling at a remarkable pace. Our stellar early team comes with experience in companies like J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, FalconX, Paypal, Affirm, Polygon, Kraken, Nium & others. We're backed by Accel, Lightspeed, NfX and other top-tier investors. Role Overview We're hiring a Staff Engineer to own the architecture of OpenFX's trading and hedging core — the systems that price a client's trade, execute it, and manage the risk we take on as a result. Two teams sit inside this scope: Trading owns the client's entire trade experience — quote generation, pricing strategy, the spread engine, and the trade lifecycle across GUI, API, and soon conversational AI. Its north star is Total Payment Volume, with Gross Revenue as the control metric. Hedging owns inventory and exposure management, risk management, hedging across venues through smart routing, market making, and WAC / PnL / net revenue calculation. You will be the senior-most individual contributor across both, responsible for the Client Trading Engine, Pricing Engine, Risk Management Engine, and Smart Hedging. This is a hands-on role. You will write code, set architectural direction, and be the person the organisation trusts to get the trade and risk path right. The problems here are genuinely hard and often under-defined. You'll take large architectural bets in a domain where correctness is measured in real money and latency is measured on a live client trade. Key Responsibilities Own the architecture of the Client Trading Engine, Pricing Engine, Risk Management Engine, and Smart Hedging. Break complex, ambiguous systems into smaller components with clear contracts, clear scope, and independent deliverability. Set and

Since we opened our doors in 2009, the world of commerce has evolved immensely, and so has Square. After enabling anyone to take payments and never miss a sale, we saw sellers stymied by disparate, outmoded products and tools that wouldn’t work together. So we expanded into software and started building integrated, omnichannel solutions – to help sellers sell online, manage inventory, offer buy now, pay later functionality, book appointments, engage loyal buyers, and hire and pay staff. Across it all, we’ve embedded financial services tools at the point of sale, so merchants can access a business loan and manage their cash flow in one place. Afterpay furthers our goal to provide omnichannel tools that unlock meaningful value and growth, enabling sellers to capture the next generation shopper, increase order sizes, and compete at a larger scale. Today, we are a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex operations, sellers just starting, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers grow, so do our solutions. There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a significant, meaningful, and lasting business, and we are helping sellers worldwide do the same. Square is building a world-class, high-accountability field sales organization — and we’re looking for a leader based in Orange County who is both a coach and a builder. You know the craft of selling deeply: how to open doors, generate pipeline, position value competitively, and close with precision. You lead from the front, developing your team through active engagement — not from the sidelines. You will be the driving force behind a disciplined, insight-led sales motion that blends in-person selling with proactive outbound strategy. Your leadership will elevate both the quality and velocity of revenue while shaping a culture rooted in excellence, ownership, and growth. If you are a hands-on leader with deep prod
