About the Role REMOTE IN INDIA We're looking for a software engineer to build the Kubernetes-native control plane that provisions and runs our GPU inference fleet. You'll design a manifest-driven API where the inference team declares what they need, whether that's a cluster, a model deployment, or a capacity change, and our controllers handle the reconciliation, provider/runtime selection, and lifecycle management underneath, so the inference team never has to know or care which specific serving stack, scheduler, or hardware pool is doing the work. You'll also build the systems that keep the fleet efficient, not just running, including defragmentation and rebalancing logic that consolidates scattered workloads back into contiguous capacity, and scheduling/bin-packing improvements that push GPU utilization up without hurting latency. The core value we're after is decoupling the people building on top of the platform from the operational and runtime complexity underneath, while squeezing more usable capacity out of the same hardware. You'll build the controllers, reconciliation loops, and self-service surface (API/CLI, not tickets) that make that decoupling real, plus the event-driven health, remediation, and utilization systems that keep it running and efficient without a human in the loop. Strong candidates have hands-on experience with Kubernetes controller/CRD patterns, have built or operated a platform API that abstracts multiple backends behind one interface, understand GPU scheduling and capacity efficiency (fragmentation, bin-packing, right-sizing), and think about GPU infrastructure as software to be engineered. A product mindset - you've built internal platforms or APIs consumed by other engineering teams and care about the developer experience of what you ship. You build it, you own it. You are not only responsible for delivering the software but also for operating and supporting it in production. Responsibilities Build the provisioning state machine

Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. Because our technology is purpose-built for restaurants, by restaurant people - and increasingly shaped by AI in both what we build and how we build - restaurants can trust that we'll deliver on their needs for today while investing in the experiences that will power their restaurant of the future. Developer Experience builds the tools and platforms Toast engineers use to write, build, and understand their code. We own local development environments and the inner loop, build tooling and shared libraries, and the internal developer portal and self-service golden paths. We also empower developers across the company by building and maintaining the testing frameworks and core libraries used for developing web services. We contribute to the AI developer workflows that are changing how software gets built at Toast. Our goal is to make every engineer at Toast faster, more independent, and more confident in what they ship. We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for how Toast engineers build software. You'll pick the highest-leverage problems in the developer workflow, design solutions that work across hundreds of services and many teams, and stay hands-on while you build them. AI is quickly changing what developer tooling can do, and you'll help define what an AI-native developer experience looks like at Toast. About this roll* (Responsibilities) Set technical direction and long-term architecture across Developer Experience's areas: local development, build tooling, shared libraries, and the developer portal. Oversee the architecture of the testing frameworks and core libraries used for developing web services. Stay hands-on: design, build
About the Role The Enterprise Trust & Governance team builds the control plane that lets the world’s largest organizations deploy Perplexity broadly and with confidence. Computer and our agents work across a growing share of our customers’ environments, tools, and models. For administrators, that makes precise, enforceable control essential: who can do what, with which data, through which agents, and within what usage limits. This team makes those controls easy to manage, reliable and consistent across every product, and transparent to the people accountable for them. This is a product and platform engineering role with end-to-end ownership, from shaping the architecture and policy models to shipping the experiences our customers’ administrators and security teams use every day. You’ll work across product and infrastructure teams to turn complex enterprise requirements into reusable primitives and intuitive controls. The scope spans identity and provisioning, fine-grained role-based access across connectors, tool actions, and models, customer-managed encryption keys, admin APIs, audit logs, and policy and usage controls. Strong governance helps enterprises move from pilots to company-wide rollouts and gives them the confidence to entrust agents with greater responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Own enterprise identity and provisioning, including SSO (SAML/OIDC), SCIM, WorkOS integrations, and support for identity providers such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. Build the permissions platform, with fine-grained roles and permissions for connectors, tool actions, models, and model effort levels, enforced consistently across products and agent workflows. Design and ship secure, well-documented admin APIs for audit logs, members, groups, roles, and settings. Build policy controls for model and feature availability, staged rollouts, model deprecations, usage and spend limits, alerts, and cost-center allocation. Build admin-facing analytics for adoption, usage,
About the Role The Enterprise AI Products team builds products that make AI part of how teams work together, not just a tool people use on their own. We bring Perplexity Computer into Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and MCP server with helping teams collaborate with agents and automate work across conversations, documents, and business systems. That includes workflows that start from a message or business event, carry out multiple steps, and bring people in for decisions and approvals. You’ll build new products from the ground up, working directly with customers to understand their problems and shape what we build next. You’ll combine applied AI engineering with product judgment, moving quickly from prototypes to reliable products that solve recurring problems across many organizations. Ownership extends beyond launch: you’ll use customer feedback and product experiments to improve the experience, grow adoption, and make Computer something teams depend on in their daily work. Key Responsibilities Design and build AI-powered experiences in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and the MCP server bringing Computer into the tools where teams communicate, create, and coordinate work. Build workflow and automation products that let teams delegate recurring, multi-step tasks to agents, including scheduled and event-triggered execution, human approvals, and visibility into progress and results. Build shared agent experiences that let teams delegate work, review results, and build on each other’s workflows, with clear ownership and handoffs between people and agents. Work directly with customers and internal teams to identify high-impact problems, validate ideas through rapid prototyping, and turn successful use cases into scalable, reusable products. Own products end to end, from problem definition and technical design through full-stack implementation, launch, and production reliability. Measure and improve activation, repeat usage, and workflow completion,
About the Team The Storage organization builds and operates the online stateful systems and abstractions that DoorDash Engineering depends on: reliable, efficient, secure, and easy to use. Within Storage, the Distributed Key Value team owns the storage platform that powers business-critical workloads across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. These systems sit on the Tier-0 critical path. They serve millions of QPS across multiple regions and underpin how hundreds of engineering teams build reliable systems at massive scale. About the role DoorDash's storage abstraction platform is a unified data-access layer that sits in front of our databases and decouples application teams from the underlying storage engines, similar to modern data-gateway and key-value / time-series data-abstraction platforms. Nearly every request that touches persistent data flows through it. As DoorDash scales 10x–100x across new verticals, global expansion, and acquisitions, this platform is where the hardest distributed-storage problems live — latency at the tail, request routing, and reliability under exponential load. We're hiring a Staff Software Engineer to be the domain specialist for the storage abstraction platform: a deep, opinionated technical leader who owns the reliability, performance, and correctness of the platform at scale, sets its technical direction, and raises the execution bar across the storage organization. You must be located in the New York Metro Area, Bay Area or Seattle for this hybrid position. You will report to the Engineering Manager on our Distributed Key Value team within the Storage organization. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Own the reliability, performance, and correctness of the storage abstraction platform at scale, independently leading resolution of mission-critical issues in ambiguous, high-pressure situations. Set technical direction for the platform — the storage abstraction and data-access layer, provider model, caching, and rou

Within Storage, the Event Streaming Systems team owns the event streaming platform that powers business-critical, event-driven workflows across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo, including Kafka, our event streaming abstraction layer (internally called Event Bus), and the next generation of streaming platform technologies. These systems sit on the Tier-0 critical path. They move trillions of events per day across multiple regions and underpin how hundreds of engineering teams build reliable, event-driven products at massive scale. About the Role We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to set the technical direction for our event streaming platform and lead its evolution over the next several years. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you'll operate as a force multiplier across teams, owning the hardest architectural problems, driving org-wide technical strategy, and raising the engineering bar for everyone who builds on and operates streaming infrastructure. You'll go deep on the internals of modern streaming systems, from the Kafka protocol and storage engine to object-store-backed, diskless architectures like WarpStream and AutoMQ. You'll make the high-leverage bets that determine how DoorDash streams data for years to come, on a platform that serves hundreds of engineering teams and trillions of events per day. You must be located in the New York Metro Area for this hybrid position. You will report to the Engineering Manager on our Event Streaming Systems team within the Storage organization. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Set the multi-year technical vision and architecture for DoorDash's event streaming platform, and drive alignment in that direction across Storage, SRE, Data Platform, and Product Engineering.
