This is a hands-on role where you'll work with cutting-edge hardware and implement novel security solutions for environments that don't exist anywhere else in the world. You'll need to balance extreme security requirements with the operational needs of researchers training models at unprecedented scale. Key responsibilities Design and implement hardened OS configurations for AI workloads across diverse hardware platforms Minimize attack surfaces by removing as many unnecessary components as possible from kernelspace and userspace Develop kernel security policies using SELinux, AppArmor, and custom Linux Security Modules and runtime enforcement mechanisms Implement and maintain full-disk encryption solutions for diverse storage systems Build security infrastructure for AI systems, research environments, and production services Create OS-level attestation and integrity monitoring systems Apply security patches, develop patches for custom kernel modules, and kernel hardening configurations Design secure boot processes and trusted execution environments Work with container teams to ensure proper workload isolation at the kernel level Design privilege separation and mandatory access control policies Implement secure update mechanisms for OS components Build tooling for
ABOUT BASETEN Baseten powers mission-critical inference for the world's most dynamic AI companies, like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We're growing quickly and recently raised our $1.5B Series F , led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital. Join us and help build the platform engineers turn to to ship AI products. THE ROLE Baseten is building its own GPU infrastructure for large-scale inference. As we move into large scale, high-density NVIDIA systems, the hardest failures are intermittent, cross-layer, and difficult to prove: RoCE congestion, InfiniBand stalls, ECN/DCQCN mis-tuning, bad optics, RNIC issues, host kernel stalls, GPU driver problems, and workload symptoms that look like network problems, but are not. We are hiring a Lead Software Engineer to build a first-class observability and root-cause analysis system for GPU fabrics. This is a hard distributed systems problem, not a dashboarding problem. The system will collect high-volume signals from switches, hosts, active probes, and inference services; reduce and correlate them in real time; understand topology and service ownership; and produce actionable diagnosis while an incident is still unfolding. This role sits at the boundary between networking and inference software. RDMA data paths, GPUDirect transfers, prefill/decode disaggregation, KV cache movement, request routing, and workload backpressure can all create fabric symptoms or hide real fabric failures. The goal is to tell an operator, quickly and with evidence, whether an incident is caused by the fabric, host, NIC, GPU, RDMA path, scheduler, or serving layer — and what to do next. EXAMPLE INITIATIVES Real-time telemetry engine — Build the ingestion, reduction, storage, and query path for high-cardinality fab

About the Team Netlify runs on usage. Developers buy credits, teams consume compute and bandwidth, and enterprises commit to spend. The Accounts and Billing area owns how all of that works: the accounts foundation every customer signs into, the billing platform that meters and charges them, and the pricing and packaging model that sets what they pay. It sits at the center of how Netlify grows, and it touches Finance, Growth, UX, Sales, and the executive team. As a Staff Product Manager, you’ll help define and evolve Netlify’s monetization model, bringing a strong point of view while partnering across the company to make high-impact decisions, and you will build hands-on next to engineering, Finance, and design rather than run a team from above. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders, including the CEO and CFO, as we continue to evolve Netlify’s pricing and packaging strategy. What You'll Do Lead the strategy and evolution of pricing, packaging, and monetization, including plans and tiers, the credit and usage model, seat-versus-consumption economics, on-demand and overage rates, enterprise commitments and discounting, storage pricing, regional pricing, and annual plans. Ship billing as a product: metering accuracy, invoicing, payments, refunds, and customer-facing usage visibility, including the billing and usage interfaces enterprises are asking for. Steward the accounts foundation: sign-up and authentication, identity, orgs and teams and seats, roles and permissions, account security, and fraud and abuse at the top of the funnel. Build and lead the pricing and packaging experimentation program, using data, customer insight, and sound judgment to guide decisions: product analytics, conversion and activation, and credit-consumption telemetry. EMPLOYER IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP. Role Description This is a forward-deployed engineering role. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with mission heroes: the users, operators, and program engineers who run real workloads in real DoD environments. You'll help take UDS Data Capability from "deployable" to "running in production under classification." You will deploy, integrate, and operate our data stack in the mission hero's environment alongside senior engineers, then carry what you learn back into the product so the next engagement is easier. The scope of this work varies by engagement. Some programs require standing up a governed data platform to centralize sensor or operational data from known sources, where the problem is well-defined and the priority is building and shipping. Others involve consolidating data across hundreds of interconnected government systems of record with overlapping schemas, deeply interdependent data flows, and significant architectural complexity. You should be comfortable building independently against defined problems and growing into more ambiguous, complex engagements over time. Forward-deployed means aligned with the mission hero, not always on a plane. Most of the work is remote. You'll travel to sites when the engagement calls for it: initial standup, integration work, incident response, training and knowledge transfer. The rest of the time, you'll be on a video call or in a shared chat with that same mission hero. The role is defined by the relationship with the mission hero, not by where you sit. You are a data engineer who can build across the breadth of a data platform (storage, ingestion, streaming, governance, and access) and deliver working solutions in constrained, mission-critical environments. Responsibilities Deploy and configure UDS Data Capability in the mission hero's environment. Stand up the UDS Store (Iceberg, Rook/Ceph, pgvector, Postgres), wire up UDS Tran
