About the Team OpenAI’s GTM Partnerships team builds a strategic global partner ecosystem designed to accelerate customer success, support secure AI adoption, and drive growth in support of OpenAI’s mission. We collaborate closely across Sales, Technical Success, Product, Marketing, Operations, and leadership teams to turn strategic partnerships into durable commercial outcomes. Within that ecosystem, AWS is one of OpenAI’s most strategic partners. Our opportunity extends beyond the direct alliance relationship: we aim to enable AWS teams and the surrounding services-partner ecosystem to build, deliver, and scale OpenAI-powered solutions on AWS infrastructure. Success requires close collaboration across AWS Japan alliance and field teams, AWS-focused SI practices, cloud architects, field sellers, delivery leaders, OpenAI’s Japan Partner Director, and OpenAI GTM teams. It requires strong operating discipline, scalable co-sell execution, and the ability to translate a strategic alliance into measurable customer outcomes. About the Role We are hiring a Partner Director to shape and execute OpenAI’s AWS alliance partnership in Japan. This person will own the direct relationship with AWS Japan while mobilizing AWS Japan field teams and the broader services-partner ecosystem around high-value customer opportunities. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role operating through influence in Japan. You will work alongside OpenAI’s Japan Partner Director to develop Japan GTM strategies, drive joint account planning, coordinate AWS-related opportunities, and operationally manage selected cross-functional initiatives. You will build and own the Japan GTM strategy with AWS, translating the alliance into repeatable OpenAI and AWS solutions, field playbooks, governance structures, and co-sell motions that can be adopted across Japan’s customer segments and GTM teams. The right candidate combines alliance leadership with a builder’s mindset and the ability to move comfortably b

About the Team The AI Architect team partners with organizations to turn OpenAI's most capable models into meaningful, real-world impact. We work with customers across industries and digital-native businesses to identify where AI can create value, design secure and scalable solutions, and help those solutions move from early exploration into sustained production adoption. The team brings together technical strategy, customer partnership, and practical deployment expertise, working closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Research, and specialist delivery teams. About the Role As an AI Architect, you will be the senior technical owner for a named portfolio of customers and the primary technical counterpart to their leadership teams. You will act as the “CTO of your book of business”, shaping each customer's AI strategy and guiding their journey from pre-sales discovery and solution evaluation through deployment, adoption, and measurable business impact. You will own the technical account plan across ChatGPT Enterprise, the OpenAI API, Codex, and other agentic AI solutions. In partnership with the Account Director, you will translate business priorities into a focused use-case portfolio, an actionable adoption roadmap, and a clear path to durable customer value and growth. The Account Director owns commercial strategy; you own the technical strategy, customer journey, and path to production value. You will remain accountable for the technical outcome while bringing in the right specialists across deployment, implementation, enablement, security, product, and partners to provide deeper expertise and execute work where needed. This role calls for strong industry fluency, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to move confidently between executive strategy and hands-on technical conversations. In this role, you will: Serve as the primary technical advisor and long-term technical relationship owner for a named portfolio of existing customers and pre-sales prospect

About the Team OpenAI’s Enterprise Go-To-Market organization helps the world’s largest companies adopt and scale our AI platform across their business, from ChatGPT Enterprise to our developer and APIs. We partner with organizations across Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Retail to build new AI-powered customer experiences, transform operations, and reimagine how work gets done in highly regulated and technically complex environments. About the Role We are looking for a senior, high-agency Account Associate to help build and scale our Japan Strategic & Large Enterprise, DNB and Startup motion. This person should be able to create pipeline through thoughtful outbound, strong discovery, disciplined follow-up, and clear stakeholder mapping. This is not a junior execution role.
