You will join a highly focused team working at the intersection of large-scale generative modeling, distributed systems, and production engineering. Our mission is to develop and optimize video base models that power realistic, controllable, and emotionally expressive synthetic humans at scale. This is not pure research. This is applied research with direct product impact. You will work on advancing training recipes, scaling distributed systems, improving evaluation frameworks, and optimizing inference to ensure our models are high quality, stable, and efficient enough for real-world deployment. Your work will directly influence models used by tens of thousands of businesses worldwide. What you’ll do You will own and execute end-to-end research and engineering projects, from hypothesis to production impact. About the role As a Senior Frontend Engineer on our Website team, you'll be a co-owner of the platform behind synthesia.io : the component library, content model and rendering stack that every page on our marketing site is built from. You'll shape direction and make key technical decisions with the team, likely with a focus area of your own but context across the whole system. This is a hands-on engineering role, and your primary output is high-quality component and schema code, plus the tooling that lets others build with it. Millions of people visit synthesia.io every month, and it is one of the main ways we win new customers. That comes with real responsibility. The decisions you make are seen at scale, and we set the quality bar accordingly. The defining challenge of this role is composability: a marketing site that marketers, and increasingly AI agents, can build pages with, without breaking design, performance or SEO. You can expect to: Build, scale and evolve our section library: the Astro components, Sanity schemas and design tokens that let us compose marketing pages consistently and accessibly. Own the content model. Design schemas that resist misuse, so an editor, or an agent, can build a page that is

You'd be joining as our first full-time UX researcher, working directly with product, design, and engineering on the bets that will define what Synthesia looks like over the next few years, including a new real-time, agentic product where we're figuring out an entirely new modality as we build it. Persona and jobs mapping shaped the first version of our newest product, and there's a strong pull from PMs, designers, and leadership for more. What we don't have yet is a full-time researcher who can operate across the whole product portfolio.
