About the Team OpenAI’s Hardware organization develops AI-native silicon and system-level solutions for the unique demands of advanced AI workloads. Building on efforts like Jalapeño, the team is developing future generations of AI-native silicon and tightly integrated systems to power the next generation of frontier models. By co-designing chips, systems, tools, and methodologies, the team helps deliver faster, more efficient, and production-ready hardware for OpenAI’s supercomputing platform. About the Role We are looking for a highly experienced RTL engineer to own critical on- and off-chip interconnect components for our custom AI accelerator platform. You will drive the microarchitecture and RTL implementation of scalable on-chip communication fabrics connecting high-bandwidth compute, memory, and I/O subsystems as well as purpose-built off-chip interfaces and protocols needed to enable custom computing at scale. This is a senior, hands-on engineering role with broad technical ownership. You will drive design from requirements through the full silicon lifecycle, from architecture definition and performance analysis through RTL implementation, verification closure, physical design convergence, bring-up, and production readiness. You will plan and oversee the work of junior engineers and help drive and develop productive engineering relationships with external partners and help manage partner execution. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Own the microarchitecture, RTL design, and delivery of major SoC interconnect components, including network-on-chip fabrics, switches, routers, bridges, protocol adapters, arbiters, and traffic-management logic as well as off-chip protocol bridges and interfaces. Drive third party engagements to develop novel networking and interface protocols and silicon IP while ensuring high quality and de

About the Team The AI Deployment Management (ADM) team enables organizations to turn OpenAI products into real, sustained impact through world-class services execution. Our mission is to help customers successfully adopt and operationalize AI across their organizations. We partner with enterprises to translate the potential of OpenAI’s technology into durable capability - through structured training, technical enablement, and services. By helping customers move from experimentation to production, the ADM team accelerates time-to-value, deepens product adoption, and helps make OpenAI indispensable to how organizations work. About the Role The AI Deployment Manager role is a specialist post-sales enablement role focused on delivering high-impact enablement and adoption services across OpenAI’s product suite. This role is responsible for designing and delivering enablement experiences that support a repeatable adoption framework, driving sustained activation, expanding breadth and depth of usage, and measurable business value across OpenAI’s product suite, including ChatGPT Enterprise and Agents. This role blends strong product fluency, instructional design, and customer advisory. You will lead live workshops, deliver services, and design adoption interventions for audiences ranging from everyday business users to technical practitioners and executive leaders, helping customers understand not just what OpenAI’s products can do, but how to apply them effectively in real world workflows. Success in this role means accelerating customer confidence, increasing product adoption, supporting successful launches of new product capabilities, and helping customers translate product features into tangible outcomes across teams and business functions. You will own outcomes related to activation and sustained usage by shaping how enablement drives measurable customer impact. This role is based in our San Francisco office. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week

About the Team OpenAI’s API Multicloud team is responsible for extending OpenAI’s API platform into strategic cloud environments, starting with AWS . The team’s mission is to distribute OpenAI’s API broadly and safely by enabling key API technologies in AWS-native environments, in close partnership with Amazon and internal teams across Codex, Research, Safety Systems, and Applied. The team is focused on bringing core developer and enterprise capabilities into cloud-native environments, including AWS-hosted Codex, model customization / post-training as a service, and new stateful runtime environments for agentic workloads. This work sits at the intersection of production ML systems, developer platforms, model behavior, and large-scale infrastructure. About the Role We’re hiring Machine Learning Engineers to build and improve the AI systems that help strategic partners adapt OpenAI models to important use cases in cloud-native environments. This role spans post-training workflows, evaluation, data pipelines, model behavior, and API/infrastructure integration. You’ll work at the boundary between partner needs and core ML systems: helping teams understand what is and isn’t working, diagnosing issues in training and evaluation workflows, and turning those learnings into improvements to the underlying platform. You should enjoy working with external technical partners, extracting the real goal from messy requests, and pushing back or reframing when the requested experiment is not the highest-leverage path. You’ll collaborate closely with Research, Applied, Safety Systems, infrastructure teams, and external technical partners to solve ambiguous model-performance problems. When you succeed, strategic partners and internal teams will be able to improve model behavior with confidence, driving measurable product improvements while the systems behind that work become more reliable, scalable, and effective over time. In this role, you will Partner with strategic customers and in

About the Team: Compute Infrastructure builds the platform that turns enormous amounts of compute into a reliable engine for frontier AI. We design, provision, schedule, operate, and optimize the systems that connect accelerators, CPUs, networks, storage, data centers, orchestration software, agent infrastructure, developer tools, and observability into one coherent experience for researchers and product teams. Our work spans the entire stack: capacity planning and cluster lifecycle, bare-metal automation, distributed systems, Kubernetes and scheduling, deep system optimization, high-performance networking, storage, fleet health, reliability, workload profiling, benchmarking, and the developer experience that lets teams use enormous compute systems with confidence. At this scale, small improvements to communication, scheduling, hardware efficiency, or debugging workflows can compound into meaningful research velocity. We are hiring across Compute Infrastructure rather than for a single narrow team, and we use this opening to match strong engineers to the problems where they can have the most leverage. About the Role We are looking for engineers who want to build the compute platform behind OpenAI's research and products. You may not be the strongest in low-level systems, high-performance computing, distributed infrastructure, reliability, CaaS, agent infrastructure, developer platforms, tooling, or the user experience around infrastructure. What matters is that you can reason carefully about complex systems, write durable software, and raise the quality and velocity of the people around you. Depending on your background and interests, you might work close to hardware, close to users, on CaaS and agent infrastructure, or on the control planes and data planes in between. You could help bring new supercomputing capacity online, optimize training workloads from profiler traces and benchmarks, improve NCCL and collective communication behavior, reason about GPUs, NICs, t

About the Team We’re hiring software engineers to make OpenAI’s networking teams more productive. These teams build and operate the high-performance networking systems that support OpenAI’s training and inference infrastructure at frontier scale. About the Role We’re looking for someone who cares deeply about the developer experience of engineers working on complex infrastructure systems — especially around build systems, test architecture, release pipelines, and reliable development workflows. This role will be embedded with OpenAI’s networking team: making it faster, safer, and easier for engineers to build, test, validate, and ship changes across multi-server, networked, and hardware-adjacent environments. In this role you will: Improve development workflows for engineers building and operating OpenAI’s networking systems Design and improve continuous deployment, release, and validation pipelines Build and maintain test harnesses for multi-server, networked, and hardware-backed environments Improve iteration speed across C++, Python, and build-system-heavy codebases Partner with engineers to identify friction in CI, testing, debugging, and deployment workflows Drive testing and reliability strategy for infrastructure components that support large-scale training and inference workloads Work closely with centralized developer experience teams while staying deeply embedded with the networking engineers closest to the systems You might thrive in this role if: You are motivated by helping other engineers move faster and with more confidence You have experience with CI/CD, release pipelines, testing infrastructure, or build systems You are comfortable moving between C++, Python, and build systems such as CMake, Bazel, or Blaze You enjoy building test harnesses, automation, and workflow improvements for complex systems You do not need to be a networking expert, but you are excited to learn enough about the domain to make the team meaningfully more effective When you see
