About the Team The Early Access Program (EAP) team leads high-impact alpha programs at the intersection of customers, Product, Research, Engineering, GTM, Security, Legal, and launch teams. We partner with customers to test emerging capabilities with real-world use cases, surface actionable insights, and support launch decisions. Our team is made up of builders who learn quickly, collaborate deeply, create clarity in ambiguity, communicate openly, and iterate constantly. About the Role We’re hiring an Early Access Deployment Engineer to lead technical engagements with customers who are leveraging our frontier capabilities to solve real-world use cases. You will work at the earliest—and often messiest—stage of development, when capabilities are still unclear, tooling and processes are evolving, and the path from promising technology to a valuable real-world application has yet to be defined. You will be a hands-on builder, problem solver, and technical partner to customers and our research/product team. You’ll push beyond initial assumptions, identify high-value use cases, prototype solutions, design useful evaluations, and troubleshoot what is and is not working. Managing multiple customer engagements at once, you will help customers navigate ambiguity and difficult technical decisions while translating their experience into clear, actionable feedback for Research and Product. You will also own the end-to-end execution of early access programs—from onboarding customers, supporting live experimentation, synthesizing findings, and informing launch decisions. You’ll collaborate deeply with Research, Product, Engineering, Applied Evals, GTM, Legal, Security, Marketing, and other launch partners to create clarity, manage risk, and keep programs moving through changing conditions. Success in this role means turning frontier capabilities into real-world customer value and high-quality research signals. You will develop reusable technical approaches from early deployments,

About the Team GTM Growth Engineering builds AI-native products that help OpenAI's go-to-market and B2B marketing organizations scale with greater speed, intelligence, and operational effectiveness. We apply OpenAI models to real business workflows and build the systems that make those applications useful and dependable: customer context, agent behavior, feedback, evaluation, experimentation, and appropriate human oversight. Our work brings together software engineering, applied AI, product, data, and GTM operations. We measure success through the quality of customer engagement, pipeline, conversion, and the effectiveness of our sales and marketing teams. About the Role We're looking for an Applied AI Engineer to build production systems that help AI-powered go-to-market workflows improve over time. You will connect agent behavior, customer and operator feedback, evaluation, experimentation, and business outcomes to make these systems more effective, reliable, and responsive to evolving customer needs. This is a deeply technical, cross-functional role with end-to-end ownership of the agent improvement loop: understand production behavior, identify failure modes, improve how the system decides or acts, and validate the resulting impact. You will partner with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Sales, and B2B Marketing to turn real-world signals into safer, more effective agent behavior and measurable improvements in customer engagement, conversion, qualified pipeline, and team productivity. In this role, you will: Own the production improvement loop across agent behavior, customer and operator feedback, evaluation, experimentation, and verified business outcomes. Instrument agent workflows so model interactions, tool use, decisions, failures, human edits, and downstream outcomes can be understood in context. Define meaningful quality standards, representative evaluation datasets, regression coverage, and production monitoring for real GTM workflows. Investigate why a

About the Team The compute infrastructure team runs the GPU fleet and large-scale compute clusters that serve the models backing ChatGPT and the API, while also supporting training workloads for our next generation models. We operate a large, modern GPU fleet and provide a unified platform for other OpenAI teams to seamlessly run production Applied AI and Research training workloads. We seek to learn from deployment and distribute the benefits of AI, while ensuring that this powerful tool is used responsibly and safely. Safety is more important to us than unfettered growth. About the Team Training Runtime designs the core distributed machine-learning training runtime that powers everything from early research experiments to frontier-scale model runs. With a dual mandate to accelerate researchers and enable frontier scale, we’re building a unified, modular runtime that meets researchers where they are and moves with them up the scaling curve. Our work focuses on three pillars: high-performance, asynchronous, zero-copy tensor and optimizer-state-aware data movement; performant, high-uptime, fault-tolerant training frameworks (training loop, state management, resilient checkpointing, deterministic orchestration, and observability); and distributed process management for long-lived, job-specific and user-provided processes. We integrate proven large-scale capabilities into a composable, developer-facing runtime so teams can iterate quickly and run reliably at any scale, partnering closely with model-stack, research, and platform teams. Success for us is measured by raising both training throughput (how fast models train) and researcher throughput (how fast ideas become experiments and products). About the Role As a Training: ML Framework Engineer, you will work on improving the training throughput for our internal training framework, while enabling researchers to experiment with new ideas. This requires good engineering (for example designing, implementing, and optimizing state-of-the-art AI models), writing bug-free machine learning code (surprisingly difficult!), and acquiring deep knowledge of the performance of supercomputers. In all the projects this role pursues, the ultimate goal is to push the field forward. We’re looking for people who love optimizing performance, understanding distributed systems, and who cannot stand having bugs in their code. Since our training framework is used for large runs with massive numbers of GPUs, performance improvements here will have a large impact. This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a

About the Team OpenAI’s Applied AI Engineering team helps organizations turn frontier AI capabilities into safe, reliable, and high-impact production systems. We work with customer executives, product and engineeriIng teams, security leaders, and transformation teams to identify valuable opportunities, accelerate technical implementation, and scale what works. Enterprise deployments are defined by complexity rather than any one industry: existing architectures, diverse data environments, security and governance requirements, multiple stakeholder groups, and organization-wide change. We turn lessons from these deployments into better products and reusable patterns for customers everywhere. About the Role As an Enterprise Applied AI Engineer you will partner directly with leading organizations to design, build, and deploy AI systems that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will combine deep technical judgment, hands-on engineering, and customer leadership to take ambitious ideas from use-case selection and architecture through prototyping, evaluation, production launch, and scale. You will write and debug code, build evaluation systems, resolve complex integrations, and guide decisions involving model behavior, reliability, latency, cost, safety, security, governance, and operational readiness. Success is measured by production systems, sustained adoption, and meaningful customer impact—not simply activity or successful demonstrations. This is a rare opportunity to work on consequential real-world deployments at the frontier of AI while directly influencing how OpenAI’s products evolve. This role is based in our SF or NYC office. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees. In this role, you will: Partner directly with enterprise customers to identify high-value opportunities and translate them into technical architectures, implementation plans, evaluation strategies, and measurable success criteri
